typically post an extended mock every year since i joined long ago.  finally had time to put together my thoughts with a slow week of work.

this year may be one of the trickier drafts to predict with the new draft rules (quantity of early entrants) and the just the nature of this year’s class.  there’s a lot of different tiers in this draft class and many forum members and draft sites argue over where certain players belong outside the top 3.

    anyways….enjoy, hate and/or comment.  cheers!

Its not bad, but I think Rui needs to be in the top 10, and I can’t see Garland going in the top 5. I think Coby White will be going to Chicago. True, he’s more of a scorer than a playmaker, but Chicago just needs help period at point, it doesn’t what type of point he is, they will make it work. Garland was injured most of the year, so we haven’t seen too much to justify him being a top 5 pick. I have him just missing the lottery at 15 to Detroit.

This draft is so weak after the top 3 that I could easily see a player like Nickiel Alexander-Walker making the lottery. I have him in the late lottery, I think at 10 to the Wolves.

I do like Grant Williams to Utah, but I’d prefer a bigger guy next to Gobert. Right now I have Charles Bassey at 23, but I also think Utah will look to find a stretch 4 in free agency.

Of course MJ is looking to keep Kemba in Charlotte, that would be what every charlotte fan wants and what I’d look to try and do if I owned the team, but Kemba has been in Charlotte ever since they drafted him back in 2011, I think, and Charlotte still hasn’t been able to do anything significant since then, so if I’m Kemba, I’m leaving regardless of what MJ wants. It’s not his decision, Its Kemba’s. He wants to win and Charlotte has not proven they can do so with him, so why not leave. Regardless of what Kemba does though, I do believe Lamb will leave as well.

yeah, great feedback/comments.  your points are valid and based on your assumptions, your mock will probably look a little different than mine.  i really can’t dispute your arguments because white could jump ahead of garland and kemba could easily walk away from the charlotte mess.
