Lance Stephenson and Kemba Walker cannot coexist in the backcourt. They both need the ball in their hands and arent great shooters. Jeremy Lamb has breakout star written all over him and is a 40%+ 3-point shooter. He would fit perfectly next to Kemba in Charlotte just like he did at Uconn. On the other hand, the Thunder would get an explosive playmaker who would fit well in the starting lineup next to good shooters in KD, Westbrook, and Ibaka. They also already have a good shooter in Morrow off the bench so Lamb is not as important as he would be to a different team. Lamb has allstar potential but will never reach it in OKC. He needs to be unleashed on a team that gives him starter minutes and Charlotte is the perfect fit.
Kemba Walker
Jeremy Lamb
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Cody Zeller
Al Jefferson
Russell Westbrook
Lance Stephenson
Kevin Durant
Serge Ibaka
Steven Adams
In my opinion both teams get better. OKC is in win now mode and Lance is more ready now. Charlotte is still building but will be ready to contend soon, and Lamb seems ready to breakout soon and is very young so he can be a core member of the future. Obviously you cant trade these contracts straight up so other pieces would need to be added but i think it could work and would make both teams better.
Thoughts?
