what do you all think of that trade?

GSW get the SF they covet, and Minnesota finally gets the shooter they want in Lamb/Rivers/Waiters

That’s a great idea. I think Minny should throw in the 28th pick in the second round for Steph Curry though.

    …good god.

but if your GS there is no way you take Beasely as long as there is a chance they can turn the 7th pick into Loul Deng.

Why would they make this trade? Beaz is a free agent, they can sign him to a contract that the Timberwolves will not match..

I always wanted to see Beasley in an up and down offence like GSW runs. He scored 19 a game and it’s hard to deny that he’s more talented than anyone they could pick up at 7. The trade works for me, even of MN had to throw in another small piece

There’s talks that Minnesota might try to unload Beasley for a SECOND round pick.  There isn’t a chance in hell they’d get a top 10 pick for him unless they were trading with Kahn, but unfortunaely, Kahn is Minnesota’s GM.  That’s what I was getting at in my post.  Anybody that actually takes that idea seriously is certifiably insane, or David Kahn.

Michael Beasley is a restricted free agent, meaning he CAN NOT be traded until he is signed

As a GSW fan, I am somewhat tempted to click on the "flag as offensive" button. Haha.

Beasley is a trigger happy tweener that shoots too many jumpers and does not run the floor or attack the rim enough for someone with his size and athleticism.

I do give him props for maturing since he was drafted and understanding his role on a basketball team, but he does not fit what the Warriors are looking for.

Warriors would be better off drafting Dion Waiters and sticking out this season (if they can’t acquire a bigger name SF) with the 3 SFs that they currently have on the roster (Wright, Rush, Jefferson).

I don’t think Beasley is worth the seventh pick.  It may be worth a try, but I don’t think that Beasley is a good fit for the Warriors.  They need a slashing wing who can defend, and Beasley is a jump shooting wing who is a poor defender.  He has potential as a slasher, but falls in love with his jumper.

Beasley has been in the NBA for 4 years now and has yet to really produce.  I know he put up numbers for that bad T-Wolves team of 2011, but he would not put up those numbers for a good team, and the numbers don’y really tell the whole story, as he was inefficient and a poor decision maker.

I think the Warriors would be better served to sit tight and hope somebody slides.  If they have even an outside shot of getting MKG (or Barnes or Robinson), they should take it.  If not they could just take the best big man available, as they don’t have good interior depth, and be happy with that.  It wouldn’t be a disaster for them to draft Terrence Jones as a third big man.  At the worst, they could turn a deal later, if they don’t find a better player to trade the pick for now.

As a Twolves fan…YES…  Never going to happen.. First Beasley is a RFA and second no body would take Beas for the 7th pick.

Wolves can’t trade Beasley as a RFA.  Please stop with the 100 Beasley trade ideas a day.

This isn’t O’Neal’s first jab at Howard. When O’Neal played for the Cavaliers, he told reporters he’s the “real Superman,” in reference to Howard’s occasional imitations of the comic book superhero. O’Neal then went out and played perhaps his best game with Cleveland.

Anthony Davis is one of the most anticipated young players in the league this season, and the Hornets have high hopes for him. Gordon was already familiar with his game, but has been surprised by some of the new things he’s added over the summer.

“I’ve been on courts and seen things firsthand but it really doesn’t matter because, when you do it yourself, it’s totally different,” Rivers told HOOPSWORLD.” It’s the same experience I share with everybody. A lot of these guys weren’t able to have the opportunities I was blessed with, with my father. At the end of the day we’re both in the same boat when it comes to playing on that floor because I still haven’t done that until this point. You’re speechless when you get out there and you’re so excited and you just want to do everything right. This preseason has been huge for me just because I get to see what I need to work on.

As we know, once the Knicks relentlessly unleashed Novak on the league, he continued draining threes and giving opposing defenses fits. He finished the 2012-13 campaign averaging a career-high in scoring and led the entire league in three-point percentage (47.2 percent), connecting on 133 of the 282 three-pointers he attempted.]09-0

From out of the league, to a stint in the D-League, to waiver-wire fodder, to a key contributor on a playoff team, to a lucrative long-term contract… all within eight short months.

Despite his success last season, and his freshly inked multimillion dollar contract, Novak was adamant in declaring his belief that continued success would only result if he approached each practice and each game as if his NBA livelihood was still on the line.Lk’;k90900990

In addition, Novak also acknowledged that he’d have to continue to improve and expand his game if he wanted to be effective in the future.

“I think defenses are going to know my strengths and run me off the three-point line and do that kind of thing,” Novak explained. “This summer, I definitely put an emphasis on being able to put the ball on the floor. One or two dribbles, using my shot fake more; just understanding how defenses are going to play me.p9898097689

Even though there is certainly a need at the position in Dallas, a roster spot is not guaranteed with the Mavericks. Dallas has already brought in Chris Douglas-Roberts and Melvin Ely to deal with the possible exodus of Delonte West. Carlisle was impressed with Curry’s offensive production, but admitted that some work still needs to be done on the defensive end.
