 What do you guys think about having Free Agency before the draft? I dislike the draft before Free agency..espically when 40% of the league are free agents..what if you lose your starting PG (maybe the Hornets) then you can trade up and replace him, more sense of urgency..’

Also seems like half these picks last night were traded in other deals so they had the wrong hats (4th pick an example)..NBA needs to fix this…

Biggest issue is cap hold for the pick?
So a team with top 3 pick will hit free agency with the cap hold of that top pick? When they know they might trade down in a month? Not sure about that tbh.

That’s an interesting point I never thought of. I guess it could precipitate trades. In your scenario, if you had the 3 pick, you’d have to trade down before free agency or you’d be stuck with the cap hit. It’d just be something the league would have to get used to I guess.

First off, fix the “hat issue”! Granted i had a couple beers during the draft, but i was so confused who was going where. I understand the trades aren’t official till whenever but come on dog lol

That would be amazing. Woj bombs left and right. Omg Durant has signed with NYK. Knicks have traded the 3rd pick to WSH for Beal. Due to these latest changes Kyrie has now stopped communicating with Brooklyn and interested in NY. GMs and agents would be going mad but would be awesome real time entertainment.
