    and then the normal

Rest in peace Knicks. The only player I think Minnesota needs is Okongwu, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Minnesota move down and get like 27, and maybe both Dallas picks, or a 3 team deal with another team to move down. Idk

Sucks to see two West teams on the top. That’s not going to balance things out.
Top 6 teams don’t really have a strong need for point guard. Does someone trade up for Ball? Does a top team take him even though the fit isn’t right?
I feel like Edwards has to go 1 now as Minny has Russell and KAT at point and center.
GS is going to be the mystery pick in my mind. What do they do with it? Wiseman makes the most sense, but it sounds like they aren’t too high on him.

Hopefully Ball slides to Detroit at 7…

Detroit has the worst luck in the lottery. Have never moved up in 14 tries. We need something good.

You might end up being better off with Haliburton or Hayes to be honest. I’ve got Haliburton as a better prospect than Ball. Hayes too but it’s alot more difficult to predict how a European player is going to adapt to North America so thats a bit trickier.

Agree with this – Detroit might end up benefitting from dropping, in a draft lacking “cant-miss” elite-level talents, teams are likely to swing for the fences and a few guys with clear holes in their games or “motor” issues will go ahead of #7 (Wiseman, Edwards, Ball) will push down a guy that I love, Haliburton, and Detroit reaps the rewards. If Pistons get Haliburton or Hayes they should be thrilled even in light of the drop in the order.

    That is Nice Rudeboy.

I’ve been trying to figure out GSW rn and Minnesota. You could pencil in Edwards but they need a PF more. Golden State isn’t too high on Wiseman, but they do like Okongwu more, so MAYBE?? Or Toppin if they move Draymond to the 5, or Avdija or Haliburton. I really don’t know.

“Golden State isn’t too high on Wiseman, but they do like Okongwu more, so MAYBE?”

      What makes you think this?

And as an awnser I think both Minnesota and Golden State are looking to trade out or down, but theres probably not much value in doing that this year.

How tempted is Michael Jordan to draft Obi Toppin at 3? Jordan loves overachieving college power forwards.

Can Toppin play Center? He maybe a perfect smallball Center. Might not be such a bad pick however Wiseman and Okungwu seens kike perfect fits for Charlotte.

As a Bulls fan who wants NOTHING to do with Obi, I would be doing cartwheels if he goes #3.

They better now. I remember asking that question earlier in the year if Toppin is going to end up in Charlotte. They need an elite guard or a Center

I think Mannion is going to fall into the second round to be honest. I don’t see his upside higher than a backup Point Guard as he is definitely a project. If Boston wants a point guard, they take Kira Lewis, Tyrese Maxey, or Cole Anthony. One of them should definitely be available.

Keep an eye on Leandro Balmaro as well. Hes a big and athletic 6’6 combo guard with great court vision. I like him more at the PG position than the SG position as he has great handles and passing skills but he should be fine at either Gaurd position which makes him a grea fit with Kemba due to his size. Boston also has the 26th and 30th picks so they may try to move up, move out with one of those picks for a future 1st rounder or even package everything for an established player.

Boston also could use a Center although Robert Williams has shown signs of being serviceable and they should be able to find a good prospect at 26.

Minnesota goes all-in with launching as many 3s as possible and playing no defense, and they move up to the top of the lottery in a draft where four or five possible candidates for the top slot are lousy shooters. Minnesota should have a good opportunity to trade down with Detroit or New York. The Timberwolves need to extend Malik Beasley, and cannot afford to go into the tax with their likely 30-some win roster. The Knicks have non-guaranteed contracts that could relieve the Timberwolves of James Johnson, position them to extend Beasley, still come away with Devin Vassell or Saddiq Bey who make much more sense in complementary roles with Russell, Towns, and Beasley, and maybe have them throw in a cheap look-see at Kevin Knox (see if they can fix that shot) or Brazdeikas. Is Anthony Edwards going to look any better with Minnesota’s current mix than Jarrett Culver? Maybe they fall for LaMelo Ball, play him in a 3-guard setup with Russell and Beasley, but to take a step forward they have to be able to stop someone.

Golden State could trade down, and save some money in the process. Huge payroll, big new empty stadium, and is James Wiseman going to be ready to help a team that should be contending in the West. It fits on paper, but are they going to want a 19-year old with basically just a mediocre game against Oregon above high school and AAU on his resume when Steph, Draymond, and Klay have a decade plus in the league and a half-decade of long playoff runs on their bodies. With the attention that is going to return on them, do they want to add Lavar Ball to the mix when LaMelo would basically be used as a Shaun Livingston type role? Charlotte would be a good landing spot with Wiseman. I think he would be in a spot to grow up with Bridges, Washington, and Graham. Along with Rozier, they could end up turning that thing around rather quickly. Chicago is going to be interesting, because it will be revealing of what Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley think of the players they inherited. They have Coby White, and decent money left with Tomas Satoransky, do they consider Killian Hayes or LaMelo Ball? Handing the ball over to White and LaVine did very little for ball movement, or the effectiveness of Porter, Markkanen, Carter, Young, or really any of their teammates. How much of that was bad coaching, and how much is neither really being an initiator? If Wiseman is available, does that open the door to Carter playing more 4 (as he wants)? Does it send Markkanen to the the mid-season trade block? Are they the team that will get enthralled with Deni Avdija, or will they leave that role for Cleveland?

Charlotte should trade 3 to the Knicks for the 8th pick and Barrett.

the warriors will be a tax team and looking to win another ring soon…so they might not want to pay the salary a number 2 pick will get…that rookie might not help them right away..i think they’ll be trading the pick or moving down in the draft….
