Just made my first mock draft and I thought I’d share some of the sleepers of this years draft. Its still very early so I doubt alot of these guys will remain sleepers for long.

Landers Nolley- 6’7 230 -Virginia Tech
Comparison-Marcus Morris

Not seeing him in any mocks early in the season. He has a really smooth perimeter game and projects to be the prototypical NBA hybrid forward like Marcus Morris or Tobias Harris. Very skilled scorer but lacks ballhandling to create his own shots so he works off of screens, his own picks and relies alot on his teammates to get scoring opportunities.

Zeke Nnaji- 7’0 230 Arizona
Comparison-John Collins

Zeke has a very cerebral game. Has shown range out the the long midrange and can probably shot the three with some practice. Has a very good short range game with hook shots and anticipates where the shot blockers coming from very well. Outclassed Kofi Cockburn in their matchup against eachother and has proven he can score on any coverage that has been thrown at him

Jahmi’us Ramsey- 6’4 195 Texas Tech
Comparison- 3PT Specialist
Dont really wanna compare him to Beal or Heild so early in the season because I dont think his ball handling, inbetween game or playmaking is at that level yet. If I had to make a comparison I’d say a more athletic Wayne Ellington or something like that. Ramsey is a three point specialist that hunts down long range jumpshots. He takes and makes alot of difficult shots at a high percentage so far in the season. He has great size and bulk for a SG and decent athleticism for a shooter. Will get looks early in the draft if he can keep up his hot shooting.

Also thought I’d add he has no staging.nbadraft.net profile. I would like to add him to my mockdraft. Same with Cassius Stanley says hes ineligible.

Tyrese Haliburton-6’5 190 Iowa St.
Comparison- Traditional PG

Once again heres a player who’s role would be unique to today’s NBA. If I had to give him a comparison I’d say Dejounte Murray, Delon Wright or Ricky Rubio. Looks to get his teammates involved and has that great 6th sense floor generals need to have. Understands who needs the ball and how to keep his teammates happy so everyone eats. Great passer averaging 10 assists right now. Excellent length for defense and very quick 3.5 steals per game right now.

Last year everytime I went to watch Lindell Wigginton when he returned from injury he couldnt get on the court because Haliburton was playing so well. Does alot of stuff that wont show up on stat sheets to help his team win.

I just saw the end of the Iowa St/Alabama game. Haliburton should be a lottery pick,. He was an assist shy of a triple double (23pts, 11rebs, 9ast) I can’t believe he’s listed 6’5″, he looks 6’7” in my opinion. He’s thin, but in good shape. He has handles, vision, good awareness. John Petty for Alabama also had a stat line, 23pts 12rebs 0 ASSISTS as a point guard. He’s not bad though.

Nick Sestina, Kentucky. Grad Transfer from Butler, unathletic big dude with a decent shot. Could be a 2nd rounder. Nick Richards from Kentucky may be a bit underrated as well.

Myles Powell a guard from Seton Hall, seems to know where the hoop is at all times, quick release. late 1st rounder.

It is early, but I will throw out a few guys. Paul Reed of DePaul. He has always had the prospect profile in terms of body, length, and athleticism, but his game has come around. He was at a dead program, but they have already won at Iowa, Boston College, and Minnesota. Wednesday against Texas Tech will be the next test. Isaiah Livers of Michigan has been phenomenal. He won’t stay a sleeper if this holds. A door opened for him this year at Michigan, and he is just sprinting right through. He lost a few pounds in the offseason, has been shooting better than ever, and having more time on the wing is doing his game well. Robert Woodard of Mississippi State has really only had one legit opponent so far, but he was great against Villanova. He has great size and strength for a wing, and has been making shots. Mississippi State has a team worth watching with him, Reggie Perry, Iverson Molinar, and Tyson Carter.

Sleepers for this year draft …. Keep an eye on Louisiana Tech Guard/SG Amorie Archibald # 3 just read his bio this kid is very young and JR in college future is bright also Louisiana Tech’s just won snapped Mississippi State’s 26-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents. Louisiana Tech shot 48.1% for the game and made 62.5% (10 of 16) beyond the arc. The Bulldogs also out rebounded Mississippi State 34-31 and had 14 offensive boards with the help of this kid keep sleeping on him more to come.
