BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantLast year, the Combine invited 69 prospects, 49 were drafted. Two years ago, they invited 67. This year, reports are that they will invite 60 to the Combine, and another 40 to a G-League Elite camp. Names are starting to leak.
The Combine has, reportedly, given invites to Charles Matthews, Ignas Brazdeikis, Jordan Poole, Bol Bol, Louis King, Devon Dotson, Quentin Grimes, Dedric Lawson, Jalen Lecque, Kyle Guy, De’Andre Hunter, Ty Jerome, Jordan Bone, Admiral Schofield, Grant Williams, Jordan Nwora, Eric Paschall, Isaiah Roby, Ky Bowman, Jaylen Hands, Shamorie Ponds, Tariq Owens, Sagaba Konate, Chuma Okeke, Quinndary Weatherspoon, Nic Claxton, Neemias Queta, and Miye Oni.
Tyus Battle, Mike Daum, Myles Powell, and Silvio De Sousa, reportedly, have been invited to the G-League showcase.
Jordan Murphy, Ethan Happ, Yoeli Childs, and Charles Bassey did not receive combine invites, but no word on G-League showcase.
Obviously, these lists will fill out in the coming days, but here is a question, if an early-entrant is invited to the G-League showcase, and obviously those not even invited to that, is that really just a message from the league that the player ought to consider returning to school? I think it is a good thing for guys to test the waters, but this feels someone applying for a job and not getting an interview.

juves4783Participanti believe there is also an nba euro camp that takes in 40-50 international players. i think it started last year which is why the amount of internationl player entries has increased over the last couple years.
in total, the three give a vessel for about 150 of the 233 early entrants.

HeroescantdieParticipantthat projected lottery players will skip the combine. Wow, I remember before the likes of blake griffin doing combine, measurements and athletecism test, now players would rather sit and wait for the draft.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantMatisse Thybulle? No combine or G-League Elite? While I assumed Kenny Williams would probably go undrafted after his shot stopped falling this year, his defensive chops probably also make him a very good candidate to go to a camp on a two-way deal, but he was passed over. Nick Perkins played and measured out well in Portsmouth after a very good year at Buffalo, so I am a little surprised he didn’t get a nod.
