OhCanada-ParticipantI think Pierce gets underrated alot of the time. During his era he was elite and people forget. He was at that same level of A.I., Kobe, T-Mac and Carter. Who would you take Dirk or the Truth?

ZouldiersParticipantDirk for sure. A 7 footer that can score from anywhere on the floor and has an unstoppable move the one legged fadeaway.

nbarelliParticipantDirk.. but it’s closer than most think. Truth is, we’re all biased because we’ve all heard Pierce speak.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantIn terms of overall career, Dirk no question. MVP on his resume. Pierce never finished higher than 7th in voting. Dirk made 4 all-nba first teams and 12 all-nba teams overall. Pierce never made first team and had 5 overall all-nba selections. And even though both has a title and finals mvp on their resume, you’d have to say dirks was more impressive as he did it as the lone superstar on his team.
Pierce was a great player, who will go down as having a better overall career than t-Mac or carter (not close to Kobe though.) However, he wasn’t as transcendent a talent as dirk and you couldn’t build a championship level team around him in the same way.0 -

holefillers1ParticipantThis would be a good question to ask Larry Brown

OhCanada-ParticipantI think its Dirk too I just wanted to show my boy Peirce some love. He has some questionable takes but the mans a legend and deserves to be honored. This leagues legends shouldnt be disrespected the way he is, if he makes a bad take you sort of just gotta accept it. Hes a fucking legend and deserves to talk his shit.
Reason why Dirks ahead for me is because he won and had his best seasons being he best player on his team while Paul was clearly sharing that role with Allen and Garnett during his winning days.

canadabasketballisrisingParticipantI dont think it is that close. Pierce was great, I have him top 45, but I have Dirk in top 20. There were ALOT of great players (like chris paul, ect) in between them.
