with andre drummond(18 yrs old) having a multi year contract with the pistons what kind of a career will he be having in the nba
drummond
pro’s
emense size
blocking abilty
rebounding abilty
agility(he was dubbed the fastest man in last years uconn roster by the coach)
athletic ablity(a certified high flyer)
can still grow up 7’0 to 7’3 cuz he is only 18
con’s
maturity
mental toughness
freethrows
adequate jumpshot(but can shoot the ball in a specific range onmly from the wing)
if drummod can improve on his weaknesses
he can be a perenial allstar like a dwight howard
but if not he is a greg oden or a kwame brown at best
as of now realisticaly he is more on the range of a dendre jordan to a amare stoudamire mix
I don’t like Greg Oden being lumped in with Kwame Brown. Oden would be a top 3 center in the league right now if it wasn’t for the injuries. Of course, how good he could have been doesn’t really matter, but saying Drummond could end up like him if he doesn’t improve is silly. Drummond could end up like him if he has bad luck and is injured repeatedly.
Even if he only developes as a defensive player he WILL be better than Kwami Brown.
I agree with B-Ball fan – Greg Oden would have been a franchise centre. Injuries and lack of real tallent are 2 seperate issues.
What scares me most are the free throws. That is a huge liability, and could prevent him from being on the floor at crucial moments. And 29% is a huge mountain to climb.
