Deni Avdija is a guy to keep an eye on.

Avdija was named the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship MVP after leading the Israeli Under-20 team to win the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship in July 2019.

Decent quickness and good defender. Good ball handler, but a bit too right hand dominant in dribbling and finsihing around the rim. Good IQ and good passer for a SF/PF.

6″8 or 6″9, he should still grow another inch or so. Frame is not too slender so should still be able to put some weight on.

Hard to gauge just how good he is. He plays on a very strong team so does not get heavy minutes.

I like him in the 5-10 range right now. He reminds me of Mike Miller as a secondary ballhandling wing who is a good passer on his drives (not a guy you would run your offense through) and is a good shooter that can score efficiently.

I was thinking more Dario Saric type. Deni Avdija will prob not ever be a 25+ scoring machine in the NBA.

At this stage of his game, he might be a better passer and ball handler than Saric.

I’m thinking he will prob play SF-PF in the NBA. With this small ball fad still going, PF would prob be his likely position. He is a shot blocker and played some centre defensively for the Israeli Under-20 national team.

He will likely grow to 6″9 to 6″10 probably, not much of a wingspan though…

I’m higher on him than all of you. I think he’s a potential star.
Forget his shooting ability. If you just watch the way he handles the ball for a 6-9′ guy, and how unbelievably sound he is, fundamentally, on defense. He moves his feet extremely well, has excellent verticality, does not bite on pump fakes, and can grab n’ go on a turnover in an instant.
I love the versatility of his shot. He can shoot off the dribble and off the catch, with a hand in his face or leaning to the side.
I think his floor is more like Mike Miller / Wally Szczerbiak. His ceiling IMO is more like a juiced-up Rashard Lewis. But with a little more shot-blocking and a little more handle. I’ve absolutely loved what I’ve seen since the FIBA tournament

I’m with you, High Floor. I’m very high on him. He carried his U19 national team I think it was as a 16/17yo. He is developing nicely playing off the bench and earning his minutes. From what I’ve seen, I agree with the consensus that he’ll be a 4. Am I crazy to see a little Jokic in his game? He’s difficult to accurately compare.
