With the 87-86 win over the Heat and going 3-0 against them this year, is it the Bulls year this year since they are able to beat the top teams in the East and West?

Doubt it. This is just the regular season. Who knows what will happen in the playoffs. In my mind, the Lakers and Celtics are still the best teams in the league. Spurs and the Bulls are in second and then in third is the Heat and a very distant third.

They’ve beaten all the top teams in the West and East, though. And it wasn’t a fluke because for most of the teams they’ve played like the Lakers, Thunder, Spurs, Magic, Heat, and Dallas, they either have a winning record or equal wins as losses. The only top-tier team they don’t have a winning record against is the Celtics which they’ve matched up very well against in the playoffs each year always taking them to 7 games in the years with Rose. Even his rookie season he took them to 7 games.

Now with a defensive minded coach making the team into a great defensive team, the only problem is scoring which Rose fills it up quick. If they get production from the bench and Boozer, I think they have the best chance of winning the Eastern Conference title. My prediction for the Conference Finals will be Spurs-Lakers and Bulls-Celtics and for the Finals, Lakers-Bulls. I’d love to see that matchup.

They’ll prob go deep in Eastern Conference but coming in next year if they get a solid SG there will be a ton of hype. Their defense is the best in the league and might be the best since the 08-09 Celtics (but not better). Also have to realize that this is Thibs’ first season coaching and only Rose’s third year. Not to mention their bigs like Noah, Taj Gibson, Asik are all very young so their ceiling is extremely high. But who knows?
