Hield has signed his extension after it wasn’t looking likely.

4ys – $94mil ($86mil guaranteed & another $12mil in incentives, potentially making the deal $106mil) – I kind of like the deal for both teams, although I think Sacramento may have over played just a little. Still I like the idea of incentives, you kind of pay for what you have & then put the onus on the player to earn extra, that extra is always earned which is good.

Does make me wonder what the future holds for Bogdanovic though. Those inflated contracts they gave to Dedmon, Ariza, Joseph & even Barnes could bite them when it comes to getting him back on board.

They should put incentives into everyone’s contract –  minimum games played, ft %, charges taken etc

capela contract although on his total amount $500k is nothing – althought he did improve from 53% to 63%

Capela will be rewarded an additional $500,000 if his free throw shooting improves to 65 percent on at least 150 made shots. In 2017-18, Capela shot a career high 56 percent from the line.

The two sides met almost in the middle of what was offered and what was requested, so a good deal for both sides. Hield is pushing 27 so won’t have as many shots at future FA as say a Jaylen Brown so he was always probably likely to want to get a deal done. But if he’d had a breakout season again and with his shooting he could have started a bidding war and ended up costing Sac-Town a lot more so fair deal for all sides.
