 Bol worked out for 12 teams and 5 GMs. If you didn’t see it, there were no injury issues. He absolutely rained 3s down and handled the ball very well. It’s very hard to find someone that big that can move their feet, but it’s almost never they enter the league shooting like that.

I’m thinking he’ll go 8-20 but I’m also thinking there will be regret a few years from now from those that skip over him.

 He lost like 25 pounds since being injured. Thats such a big problem. Oregon’s program and Dana Altman are known as a great development program and a place that would not allow that to just happen. I am most defenitely not confirming this or saying I know what happened but for him to drop that much weight it seems as if once he got injured he just bailed on the school entirely. Anybody close to Oregon know how he went about ending his time there? Wheres Mikey V when you need him.

Anyways I would be afraid to put this guy on the court at this weight. He needs a year to slowly fill out under the proper diet but knowing NBA execs they will probally just beef him up instantly and have him end up injure prone throughout his career.

Top 5 talent in this draft. Biggest risk as well.

There are definitely a lot of intangible concerns with Bol, his approach to the game and he is a really tough interview. Dealing with the media is not for him and he is pretty closed off when approached by people he does not know and it is hard to blame him. At Oregon, however, it seems like most of the reports were positive. He played great, he stuck around with the team when he definitely did not have to and it seemed like he got along well with his teammates. No, he did not bail on school, he was still on the bench in the NCAA Tournament.

I cannot say I have too much inside info and I only got to see him live twice this year. Did watch all of his games and the people I have talked to were very sold on his talent, plus his touch is out of this world at any size, much less 7’2. There are still those who wonder if he really loves basketball, it is just absolutely evident that the game comes exceptionally easy to him. If he were healthy for the full season or had not had the navicular injury, think he easily goes lottery.

Heard he was invited to the Green Room and had a friend at the Thousand Oaks workout who said he looked good. Not quite as good as the video makes him out to look, he still missed some shots and was really tired after the 30-minute workout, but good. Larry Bird was one of the GM’s at the workout, and you can clearly see him in that ESPN footage, for whatever that is worth. 

As far as the weight, it is definitely not ideal. But lets also be real, listed college weights are not always to be believed. I know he apparently weighed 234 at Nike Skills Academy, am just not sure if they actually weigh everybody. Just like how the Kentucky combines where the players weights are EXACTLY what was listed months previous. 

Something that seems to happen with players who have difficulty maintaining weight is that when they get injured, they tend to lose weight. Remember Nerlens Noel coming off of his ACL tear was only 206. Chris Boucher weighed in at 182 lbs coming off his ACL injury at the NBA Combine (and is now an NBA Champion, not to mention was draped in a Canadian flag last night). As great of a basketball coach as Dana Altman is, he cannot change a players metabolism. Not the most positive example, just saying I could see Bol eventually getting back to 220-225 fairly quickly as that is what I believe has been his playing weight for a while. His frame and attitude do make drafting him a worrisome proposition, thought in this draft it could very well be worth a mid-first rounder or late lottery look.

I can see Atlanta taking a swing at 8th or 10th.

Maybe Celtics package 14th & 20th/22nd to move up a few spots to grab him.

 He has dropped to 25th on this site’s mock but I just don’t see him going that low unless Executives have some serious worries about him. Atlanta with the 3 picks and especially Danny Ainge and Boston with their 3, the Spurs and Pacers front offices etc all have reputations for finding great talent so if he is anything like a legit prospect I cannot see all of them passing on him.

Plus both Utah and Philly pick just before 25 and with the Stifle Tower and Embeast as their respective defensive anchors then wouldn’t Bol be worth a punt to be a serviceable back up.

 Like he’s a huge risk, but his upside is one of the top players in the draft. As a Boston fan I love all the Mocks having him go 20 and 22 but that seems crazy in this draft.
