They both played similar roles at ohio st. Both come out after Freshman year. I see them as similar NBA players also!

Does he have the potential to be one of the best big men in the League? Yes but only time and development will tell. It depends on how bad he wants it.

I agree his desire has a lot to do with it. The fact that he didn’t start for Ohio St. worries me a little. He has a legit NBA centers’ body with superb athletic ability. I wouldn’t be surprised if a team gambles and takes him in the lottery. He could eventually be an all-star but I think more than likely he will just be a descent starting center. I think Mullens will be better than Koufus.

Didn’t he just go to the NBA because his family needs help with his moms medical problems or somthing? Maybe I have the wrong guy…. But if it is him it probably affected his game in college yet i still dont see him being picked tell 18-30 maybe lower

If I’m The Pistons I Draft this guy for 3 reasons

1. Detroit has zero young big men to develop

2. Mullins has tons of potential and could become an elite center

3. Michael Curry Should be on his way out and seeing the progress Dwight has had in Orlando, maybe Detroit could get Patrick Ewing who wants a head coaching job to develop BJ who would be great along Boozer if they sign him
