kong47272ParticipantShaq/Kobe
No offense to Pippen who was a great player, but 3 of those four guys won MVP’s its hard to go against Shaq and Kobe.

Chicago1980ParticipantThis can’t be a serious question of course Jordan,Pippen 6-0 in the finals two 3 peats all time wins in a season 72-10 of course Batman and Robin the dynamic duo.

they accomplished more and did’nt bicker. But Kobe /Shaq was better on the court. Shaq was the most dominant player in the league. Once Kobe entered his third season and became an all-star, they proceeded to go to the Finals 4 times in 6 season’s winning 3.

nthegoodlifeParticipanteven a serious question. If Pippen played anywhere else, he wouldn’t be considered one of the 50 best of all time. The other team has the best player ever (arguably) and the most dominating big ever (not best-most physically imposing). So of course Kobe / Shaq. You guys knew the answer anyways.

marcusfizer21ParticipantI would settle for the partners that never had a sour relationship BECAUSE of PRIDE… These two should win a Nobel prize for Chemistry and they are, to me, the best combo… If you look at Shaq and Kobe, they are dominant but they had a feud due to the fact that Kobe wants to overshadow Shaq in which Shaq does not oblige… In MJ and Pip, I never heard any bad word that comes from their mouth that’s because they have mutual respect for one another… I am saying these as the factors on why they are the best combo because in the game of basketball, it does not limit to skills but it also points to the teamwork and relationship among individual…

nthegoodlifeParticipantActually Kobe had beef with Shaq, because Kobe worked his tail off during the off season and came into camp ready to play. Every single year Shaq came in more over weight than the previous season, and this continued to the two’s demise. Kobe was professionally frustrated and it eventually lead to a “sour” relationship. Jordan would’ve done every bit the same as Kobe. Jordan had that killer drive and demanded the best from his teammates, if you don’t understand that, then I’m sorry.

exactly. Shaq did’nt work hard and was upset that Kobe wanted to expand his game instead of just standing in line nad htrowing the ball to shaq. In the end they did’nt fit because they were both alpha dogs that had very differnet personalities. Jordan and Pippen worked becasue it was clear that Jordan was the leader and pippen knew his role. However, taking chemistry issues out, Pippen does’nt belong in the same category as the other 3, and 2 mvps is better then 1.

nthegoodlifeParticipantWell said. I hate how so many people “assume” Kobe does this and that wrong, when him and Jordan had the same personalities. Both were winners and each took there games to levels far beyond their competition.

mikeyvthedonParticipantI would have to say Shaq and Kobe. I rank Michael as the greatest and Kobe and Shaq 2/3 respectively. Scottie is up there, but much further down the list. As a duo, Shaq and Kobe were much more complimentary being that one was a wing and the other was a post. I also think that Michael honestly dwarfs Scottie Pippen in how important he was to his team, where as Shaq and Kobe really were just both so crucial. I am not saying Michael Jordan would have won 6 rings without Scottie Pippen, but honestly, Scottie would have never been a leader for a championship team. I almost feel that even as well as he played during Mike’s absence, it was just proof of the fact that his team was honestly not that bad around him. I feel Shaq and Kobe had even less to work with than those Bulls teams, who just were stacked with solid role guys over that time. The Lakers had Glen Rice for the first ring, but he was on his last legs, and for the other rings they relied upon Derek Fisher as their number 3 guy. Those Bulls teams had lights out shooters (Paxson, Hodges, Kerr, Kukoc) and not to mention tough defenders in the post (Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman, Brian Williams/Scott Williams, Bill Cartwright). While the Lakers had big shot Robert Horry, he was always a tweener and never provided that solid 4 next to Shaq, but they still won 3 rings. I Shaq and Kobe are the best NBA duo ever to play together, though Kobe never was at his prime (which he got too after Shaq left) and that may bring people over to Scottie/Michael. Now, if you throw in a third guy on one of those Bulls teams, than I might have to give it to them, but otherwise, I rank Kobe/Shaq as the best duo of all-time, ahead of even Kareem/Magic, Kareem/Oscar, Michael/Scottie and even ahead of Bol/Bogues.

bluedevils12Participantwho knows how many more rings these 2 guys could have won. these guys were so dominant when kobe was young. shaq was still in his prime a good 4 years after he left kobe. if only they couldve gotten along so everyone could see wat they could have done.

MallStax5Participantcan ask if this is a serious question when jordan/piipen had more help than shaq and kobe?
shaq and kobe had less help and still did damage.
this is a serious question!0 -

meisi4Participantdefinatly pippen and jordan… they won more titles and didn´t fight each other!
but i think shaq and kobe had a chance to be better. if you take away team chestry and just see the pure on court basketball stuff then these two were the better duo.
but it is about who was better and not about who could have been i guess….0 -
