LJUBLJANA (FIBA World Championship) – Beno Udrih has walked out on Slovenia’s training camp ahead of the 2010 FIBA World Championship in a dispute with coach Memi Becirovic over his role in the team.
The Sacramento Kings guard was unhappy at being asked to back up Jaka Lakovic and has left the team after talks with management.
“I was expecting a greater role on the team,” he said. “I was not happy, so I chose to leave before any games. I was expecting to have a greater responsibility, to have higher expectations, but unfortunately this did not happen.”

lthozoosaoParticipantThe most interesting thing to me is that Canada might have a chance to field an entire team of players with at least some NBA experience at the 2016 Olympics. I don’t think there’s ever been a team that’s been able to do that besides the US.
