 Finally Brett Brown started using Ben Simmons as a screener.

When they go with Redick, Butler, Harris, Simmons and Scott : Sixers can use multiple options of P&R with Harris, Butler and Ben in any way they want.

Imagine Simmons in place of Giannis.

Those minutes without Embiid and that kind of lineup could be devastating.

 Simmons had his best games when Embiid wasn’t playing this year, he consistently had games of 20 point triple doubles shooting in the high 50 percentage (was on my fantasy team). They used him as both a screener and handler and would switch his role within the same team possession to confuse defenses.Also makes it easier for him to slash and get to the rim when there isn’t a 7 foot monster taking up space and commanding one to two defenders. That gives him more time to do other moves within the paint (pump fakes, drop steps).

That small ball lineup after Boban fouled out is what sealed the victory.  Brett Brown needs to utilize that lineup whenever Atkinson takes Allen out of the game.  Greg Monroe is not the answer.

 by facts – 1st Embiid is constantly criticized by the National Media for Not playing Back to the basket in the Deep post – 

so which is it Media members – IS Embiid Not playing in the Deep post Enough or is Embiid playing in the deep post TOO much & restricting Simmons b/c in this Life u can Not have it Both ways – Not even crooked Media members

Embiid is a 3 level scorer who even when he’s on the block is a face up scorer w/ a devestating mid range game & shoots a higher 3pt fg% than Kyle Kuzma & Caris Levert & in addition the Staple of Phila’s offense is Ben Simmons dribble hand offs to JJ Redick who is rolling off Joel Embiid screens 20+ ft from the basket! 

The point is that Embiid almost Never just sits on the low block

But Simmons scores 31 pts in game 3 when Embiid is out but I’m supposed to believe Simmons had MORE room w/ Boban & Greg Monroe playing Center b/c the racist Colin Cowherd – a Lakers fan who Desperately wants Simmons to force his way to LA – said so? 

Does that make Any sense??? 

Simmons is an Elite talent who is playing PG on a high level team but people forget he is Still learning – his issues arise in the 1/2 court when he Stops being aggressive & personally I believe it’s b/c he’s thinking too much & that’s b/c he’s 22 & still learning. 

Think about this – Simmons is one of the most Dominant Straight line drivers in the NBA but teams Back away from him which gives him room to attack off the dribble w/ no resistance & he does Not do it sometimes but when he does he puts up insane #’s WITH Embiid on the court

Phila’s issues Last year vs Boston arose Not b/c of Embiid / Simmons combo the problem was Phila’s 3pt shooters could Only shoot 3’s & Boston simply was one of only a handful of teams who had the athletes to run their 3pt shooters off the 3pt line 

And THAT is why Phila traded for Butler & Harris b/c if u try to run either off the 3pt line Both simply but the ball on the deck & dribble drive for a wide open mid range J or attack the Rim – this is why Phila beat Golden State, Toronto, Boston & Milwaukee late in the Reg season after the Harris & Butler trades b/c these teams were using the Boston Def from LAST spring 

These media people are Incredibly lazy – this is a DIFF Sixers team from last spring – Saric, Ilyasova & Belinelli have been Replaced by Scott, Butler & Harris so Phila’s starting 5 WITH Embiid & Simmons along w/ Harris, Butler & Redick or Scott is virtually Unguarable 

and I did Not even get into Phila’s Defensive philosophy which is predicated on Simmons & Butler’s suffocating perimeter Def running opponents off the 3pt line forcing them to drive Into the Dominant shot blocker Embiid – Embiid AND Simmons had Monster games in games 2 & 4 at Both ends

When Embiid was out this season Phila was a Below .500 team & w/ Embiid & Simmons on the court together they have a .700 Winning Pct%%% – their starting 5 is Dominant – their issue is a thin bench – not clogging the paint
