don042488ParticipantI think the Raptors should trade Jermaine O’Neal, Jamario Moon, and their 2009 first round draft pick, to the Bulls for Kirk Hinrich, Andres Nocioni, and Tyrus Thomas. This deal makes sense and the salaries matches up perfectly. Jermaine makes over $21 million this season and Moon makes $711,517 this season, while Kirk Hinrich makes $10 mil this season, Nocioni makes $8 mil, and Tyrus Thomas almost makes $4 mil this season. The Raptors would finally get a reliable back point guard for Jose Calderon, in Kirk Hinrich. In Andres Nocioni, the Raptors add some toughness to a very soft frontcourt, and in Tyrus Thomas the Raptors add an athletic forward, which they desperately need, and a good shot blocker as well, which they currently lack. For the Bulls, they shed the contracts of Hinrich, Nocioni, and Thomas and in 2010, when O’Neal’s contract expires, they can probably lure Chi-town native, Dwyane Wade, to the Windy City or another free agent, such as Amare Stoudemire or Chris Bosh. Also the Bulls get another first round pick in this year’s draft, which they can add another good young player to the team.

canesboy6Participantya, that is a great deal for both parties involved. The only thing stopping it is I think the raptors want to wait and see if the O’Neal thing works out. But great idea don.

tuck243ParticipantI think you are like me and make these trades on the video game!! LOL… If only GMs would do that and see what their teams would look like. I think it would be a helpful business model. What you think about trading Bosh for Amare? Bosh would get on a solid team and Amare will be the go to guy… Both sides are Happy… Because I really feel like both will leave there team when their contract is up…

derekmorrisidont think amare would do any good as a raptor, he gets all his points only becase of nash dishing him amazing passes and having shaq there so he only gets single coverage… if amare is a go to guy on a team they would double him all day and he would do nothing… and he isnt that great with offensive moves

L.ShapParticipantThis is a great trade but I almost feel like the Bulls are restarting every single year. They never honestly start off well then they just give up. Rose is a great asset of a team and if they ever have to trade him, I think they are hopeless.

jorrye24That raptors bulls trade would be a good one. But the sixers need to trade elton brand and willie green to the bobcats for raymond felton, boris diaw and their 1 round pick. Iguodala IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE! Brand is holding him back! lol

codazenParticipantHard to justify paying 10 million for a back-up P.G. and I’ll bet you a hamburger D Wayne stays in Miami.

d-ravParticipantBulls would not want to restart their rebuilding process again. They have just began their project in starting their 2 enigmatic frontcourt players in Thomas and Noah. They’ll probably keep it that way for the remainder of the season. If it were up to me, the Bulls should find takers for Hughes and Gooden.

los507ParticipantGood trade for the Raptors but they need a scorer, I like that trade Don proposed but they really need to think about getting a guy like Maggette he should be on the market considering the Warriors glut of 2&3 positioned players. The Raps just need a guy to compliment Bosh’s game and get to the line and I think we all know that he lives at the freethrow line. It’s just not working out for him in the Bay area, can’t really think of what the Raps could give up to get him but I think it would be a good fit.

CoherentParticipantWhat would they do with the center spot? O’neal is still a good player, just injury prone, plus the Raptors are a decent team, just injuries and Bench production has bogged them. I do like the trade though, it helps both teams right away.
