    Once again, there looks to be a significant imbalance of power top to bottom favoring the western conference.  Why not put the teams with the 16 best records in and then seed according to record with tie-breakers and some leeway to put the best matchups together?  This seems way overdue.

    In my opinion, there are two major benefits:

    1-the best teams are rewarded and the worst get better draft picks.

    2-Ratings.  TV ratings go up, $ goes up and everyone wins.
