One of the best seasons in 15 years imo. You had the drama with Shaq moving to the Heat, Wade transforming himself into a superstar, Steve Nash coming from another galaxy and dominating, Lebron making an argument for being best player in the league already, and the SSOL Suns at their peak. The highlights that year were amazing. Stoudemire had me legitimately convinced he could become GOAT. Also for a Kobe hater it was great since that was probably his worst year. The playoffs were awesome too. Just a great year. Every year from 06-09 felt like a cheap imitation of that 05 year.
