You know you’re bad when you get blown out by a Bobcats team missing their floor general (DJ Augustin). The Knicks got run off the floor behind a balanced Bobcats attack.
Wilson Chandler struggled to perform to the level he had in previous games, and the Knicks were lacking in talent and cohesiveness. Chandler went for 10 on 5-13 shooting.
Nate Robinson struggled from the floor going 0-6 but got to the line on numerous occasions (11-13) to make up for it. He struggles to run a team, excelling at defense and providing energy.
Alexis Ajinca played just 8 minutes and went scoreless leaving the court with an apparent injury.
Guellermo Diaz led all scorers with 14 for Charlotte, and although he’s a talented athlete, as a small 2-guard, he will likely struggle to make a roster and appears to be a player destined to play in Europe.
Warriors 95 Raptors 90

An exiting game by summer league standards, unfortunately the Raptors didn’t get a chance to tie the score because of a careless turnover by Daniel Ewing.
Anthony Randolph showed once again that he is amongst the best in Vegas with a 26 point and 12 rebound performance. Although it is apparent that his body needs major work, his ability to get in the lane and use his length allows him to still be very effective.
For the Warriors, Anthony Murrow showed his reliable outside game enroute to 22 points, including 3-4 from deep. Marco Bellineli struggled early on, he tried doing too much and creating for others instead of taking the open shot and making the easy play. However, as the game went on, he found his rhythm and was one of the key reasons the Warriors were able to pull out the victory. He finished with 14 points (including some clutch ones) and 8 assists.
Desmon Farmer had a quality game for the Raptors, scoring in a variety of ways and finishing with 22 points. Joey Graham started the game strong with 10 points in the first quarter, but failed to keep up the effort for the entire outing. Hassan Adams had decent numbers with 13 points and 5 rebounds but it is his high energy and tenacious defence that makes him a very important player for the Raptors.
Deji Akindele may have only played 12 minutes, but he made sure he got his moneys worth with 8 fouls and 5 turnovers.
Nuggets 92 Lakers 79

The Nuggets finished up their summer league in impressive fashion rolling past the Lakers and taking their record to 4-1.
Bobby Jones got the start for Denver and made a statement for why he should be added to the 15 man roster. Known for his defensive ability, the former 2nd rounder Jones led all scorers with 18 points. He still struggles shooting the ball from outside, but is effective crashing the glass and scoring around the basket.
For the Lakers, the Coby Karl-Joe Crawford battle for end of the bench 2-guard spot continues to heat up. This time around Crawford got the better of Karl with an efficient 17 pts on 8-18 shooting, while Karl struggled from the field hitting 3-14.
There was a Davon Jefferson sighting as the undrafted one-and-doner went for 12 on 5-8 shooting. It will be interesting to see whether he becomes a basketball vagabond or finds a nitche in the league after making the mistake of signing an agent early in the draft process instead of leaving his options open.
Wizards 80 Rockets 75

The young and talented trio of Andray Blatche, Nick Young and Dominic McGuire proved to be too much for the Rockets as they lost by five in overtime.
Blatche has continued to impress and his 23 point and 7 rebound line has become the norm for him. He still prefers to operate from the outside, but has shown that his inside game has come along nicely and that he can become a reliable scorer on the blocks. McGuire (18pts, 11 rebs) and Young (14 pts) are showing that their speed and athleticism are difficult to match up with.
Mike Harris had a solid 16 point, 11 rebound game for the Rockets who struggled shooting the ball the entire game. Donte Greene finished 5-19 from the field and Aaron Brooks was not much better going 3-15.
Bucks 81 T-Wolves 67

With Ramon Sessions sitting this one out, Darius Washington got the start and thoroughly outplayed Drew Neitzel. Washington played nearly the entire game going for 19 pts with 7 ast to 3 to.
Kevin Love one again ran out of gas after a quick start. He’s had a strong summer league, so he;s risen the bar on his expectations, but today he didn’t make any headlines but was efficient going for 10 pts (4-5 fg) and 9 boards in 18 minutes.
Corey Brewer continues to disappoint, which is discouraging considering this is summer league a time where he should be able to dominate inferior competition and work on his offensive game. Brewer shot a dreadful 4-13 for 8 points. His body looks worse than a year ago, and his confidence is no better.
Bryce Taylor has been a bright spot for the T-Wolves. The undersized athletic 2-guard has made a solid push for a roster spot with his steady play. He came off the bench to score 10 points knocking down both of his 3 point shots.
After 2 decent games, Joe Alexander struggled once again shooting just 2-11 from the floor for 8 points. He’ll have one more chance to redeem himself.
Trailblazers 74 Suns 73

The story of the Summer League continues to be the superb play of Jerryd Bayless. His 36 points is even more impressive considering the fact that he scored his team’s last 11 points including what ended up being the game winner with 18 seconds left. His scoring mentality and killer instinct make him difficult to defend, although one would like to see him find his teammates a bit more. Bayless was also added to the USA Selct team which will scrimmage Team USA over the next few days.
Petteri Koponen came back to earth with a 5 point game, struggling with his shot and finishing 2-13 from the field. He was able to distribute the ball well, dishing out 5 assists and showing the playmaking ability that has made him a very intriguing young player.
Alando Tucker and DJ Strawberry were most effective for the Suns going for 18 and 15 points respectively. Robin Lopez could not find his touch inside (2-10 from the field) but was still active on the defense and on the glass (8 rebounds).
Hornets 79 Cavaliers 78

Another exciting finish capped off a day that has seen some very close contests. The unsung hero was Larry Owens who tipped in a Julian Wright miss as time expired.
Bobby Brown continues to make his mark going for a stat sheet filling 16 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He has been among the steadiest performers in Vegas, and has made a solid case that he belongs in the league.
JJ Hickson finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds, once again showing nice upside that may eventually develop into the reliable four man the Cavs have been searching for.
Clay Tucker has been playing extremely well and he put in another nice game with 23 points. Romel Beck seems to enjoy the home cooking, as he has played great in two consecutive games. He finished with 16 points going 7-11 from the field.
