College Sports are in for major shakeup here. Assuming Texas and OU decide to join the Pac-12 (and take TT and OKST with them), that will leave the remaining teams in the Big 12 and Big East scrambling to find a place amongst what will be the 4 super conferences (PAC, SEC, B1G, ACC). The sad thing is that football and the desire for a playoff/money is behind these moves and basketball is essentially an afterthought. The result is a storied, top-tier basketball program like Kansas being left out in the cold as it is in a very awkward situation (mediocre at football and attached at the hip to K-state).
It will be interesting to see what the landscape looks like when the dust settles but I have a feeling there will be a number of basketball schools really suffering from these changes.
