Strengths: 6’5 shooting guard … Good size for position … Very creative offensive player and has a variety to his arsenal. Good scoring ability and can score in bunches. Shoots well from outside also has good slashing ability. Can shoot off the catch or dribble into his shot. Good touch on floaters. Uses eurosteps, doesn’t only drive in a straight line. Attacks the rim and maneuvers around defenders. Plays well in transition. Good instincts, reads and reacts well … Solid athlete. Finds opportunities to display it in games. Very good body control … Handles the ball well. Has some playmaking ability. Passes well. Sees the floor well and finds cutting teammates. Sells his head fakes and hesitation move off the dribble. Changes speed well. Passes well out of a drive and doesn’t over dribble. Moves well without the ball and spaces the floor … Good confidence level. Always plays his game with the same emotion and aggression whether he’s scoring or it’s his teammates producing. Adjusted to playing in the US very well; contributed and found his rhythm quickly at Huntington Prep. Always played within the offense. Never got rattled or played intimidated … Rebounds well for a guard on both ends … Plays hard and never goes through the motions …

Weaknesses: Solid athlete but not freakishly explosive … Although he excels as a scorer and can shoot from outside, he still has room to improve consistency. More of a streaky than knockdown shooter. Can improve from midrange as well. Has the ability to make difficult shots but settles for contested shots at times … Shows willingness to defend but isn’t a lockdown defender. Doesn’t have great foot speed … Can turn the ball over trying to do too much …

Outlook: Although he’s used to being a star in Turkey, Bitim served as a high end role player for a talented Huntington Prep his junior year and played very well. He showed he can play with and against top high school competition. He didn’t get a lot of attention but excelled in big games. Bitim is returning back home to Turkey instead of playing his senior year at Huntington Prep.
