Strengths: Muonelo is a strong, aggressive, athletic guard … Throughout his childhood, Obi was a lot shorter and developed excellent ballhandling and passing skills playing the point guard position … His added size and muscle now allows him to absorb contact and fight inside … Has a pretty good vertical; he can go up and snag a rebound and then likes to push the ball quickly up the court … Loves attacking the rim with the intention to score or drop a dime at the last second … Finishes off the glass as well as anyone, and also has a teardrop shot over larger defenders … He has great body control when he takes off into the air, and does not charge often … Can twist and turn in the air to get a better angle at the rim or the glass … Obi’s biggest strength may be his ability to find people with passes and his overall awareness on the court … He sees the entire game at once and when the ball is in his hands, teammates must be ready to catch a pass from anywhere on the court … Has always battled against tougher competition, including his two older brothers that both played ball at high levels … Has shown the tendency to step up in big games …

Weaknesses: A bit undersized at 6-4 … Still has a slightly unconventional shooting form, with his release a little arbitrary and low … He has put enough time in shooting in the gym to hit shots consistently, but his jumper could still use work … Oklahoma State is so deep that Obi could struggle to get alot of playing time in his first year … After several seniors leave, however, he should find his way into the rotation … Obi is very intense and can not stand losing, which is a good thing, but he needs to harness it in the right way and not let it carry over negatively in future games … An untimely foul or careless turnover will sometimes rattle his confidence or get him frustrated, he needs to gain maturity and composure …

Notes: Grew about 6 inches in high school after his freshman year … He moved up over four years in high school to become the best player in the state of Oklahoma …
