NBA Comparison: Eddie House

Strengths: An extremely efficient scoring combo guard … Has a natural scorers ability, even in tough situations he has a knack for finding the basket … Very good off the bounce, he has a nice first step and a good repertoire of moves off the dribble, allowing him to create space and open lanes for penetration … Plays very aggressively; in transition and in the half court he looks to attack and get to the basket … Keeps his dribble alive and continues to probe until finding an opening … Has developed into a dangerous outside threat, he needs very little time and space to get his shot off … Moves well without the ball, locating open space or coming of screens …. Has a very refined touch on in between shots, and has no problems making floaters overtop of taller defenders with consistency … Finishes very well around the basket using his body and angles to complete plays … Has the ability to elevate and finish strong and away from the help defense … Looks to push the ball ahead and find the open man …Has the tools to become a shooting specialist at the next level …

Weaknesses: Has ideal size for a point guard, but lacks the mentality and approach of a playmaker, therefore as a combo guard, he is a bit undersized … He has a fairly skinny and light frame, which gives him problems when attacking more aggressive defenders because they can get into his space and body him out of driving lanes … Needs to become a better shooter off the dribble, tends to hang in the air and shoot with poor balance, which usually leaves his mid-range shots short … Even for a guy who handles the ball so much, he is very turnover prone … He likes to attack into traffic and tries to make plays while in the air … Not comfortable finishing with his left hand … Has put up major stats in one of the worst conferences, but during his first two collegiate seasons at Boston College he was a non factor … Can he be effective as a role player and without having the ball in his hands all the time? … Has been less than stellar from the foul line, which for a shooter like him points to a lack of concentration …
