YungWade763ParticipantMany people know that Lance Stephenson of Abraham Lincoln HS is a heavy favorite for the King of NY Basketball title, but I would like to know if there is anyone else who is making noise in NYC.

ReckanizeParticipantNYC HS basketball is at the top of the country. Players such as Lincoln’s Sebastian Telfair tore up the competition all over the place. He took names and did work against Dwight Howard and Darius Washington who a College All-American during his stint at Memphis University. A player who is keeping NYC hoops on top is Brooklyn prospect and future Hofstra Pride Chaz Williams. Chaz is a 5-9 pg who wil lmuscle his way to the paint more than anyone. After starting the season with a 39 points, 15 assist showing, he dropped 35 the following game. Expect to be hearing Chaz Williams’ name frequently in years to come.

TRabinowitzParticipantI wasn’t impressed at all with Lincoln’s performance tonight. The basketball IQ on the Duncanville end is MUCH higher than that of Lincoln’s. Lincoln didn’t come out with any effort on the defensive end whatsoever in the opening quarter and didn’t seem to play smart defensively much of the game. Duncanville is big and well coach but they could’ve been neutralized. Lance showed flashes of brilliance offensively but didn’t play an honest 10-15 seconds of defense all game. He loves to jump the passing lane or try to pick someone’s pocket and use that as an excuse to basket-hang.

J.LopezTeammates Malik Hairston and Maarty Luenen unexpectedly heard their names called but Taylor didn’t.

Siirler Hikayeler Fikralar Programlar Guzel Sozler Resimler freetemplates Taylor was arguably Oregon’s best player last season, but his 6-foot-4 frame makes him a undersized at the next level. Nonetheless, his scoring ability, length and athleticism give him a chance to make in in the league. - Posted on: Wed, 04/15/2009 - 12:02pm #145922

pujdadeuceParticipantThis is kinda random ,but for any NYC cats out there I remember watching Sebastian Telfair’s Through The Fire Documentary and seeing his younger brother working out with him, I cant help but remember me saying he was gonna be nice one day. That was about 6 yrs ago I think (Telfair got drafted in 04′). Is he making any noise out there? He might be about High School age or like 7 or 8th playing AAU or something, I don’t know. Just wondering if anyone knows let me know.
