bobbybParticipantI know this is a basketball site but i wanted to make a comment about baseball honoring him with the’ 42" jerseys. Many people take for granted how important he is and the suffering he went through to pave the way for others. The biography movie is on youtube and once you start watching you wont want to stop it, it is that good. It is real because he actually plays himself.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWhy? Earl Lloyd isn’t famous.. Why don’t they honor #11, he was the first African American NBA player to play in a game.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWhy not honor Bobby Marshall? He was the first African American football player in the NFL. He played in 1920.. That’s over 25 years before Jackie.. Heck, Jackie probably wasn’t even born yet.
