Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantBest: Michael Jordan (1984)
No need for in depth analysis here. Quite a bit of competition though.
Other contenders: Nate Thurmond (1963) Kevin McHale (1980) Dominique Wilkens (1982) Grant Hill (1994) Carmelo Anthony (2003) James Harden (2009) Bradley Beal (2012) Joel Embiid( 2014) Jayson Tatum (2017) Luka Doncic (2018)Worst: Chris Washburn (1986)
Again this one isn’t particularly difficult. Washburn was an NBA bust in just about every sense of the word. He played just 72 total games in NBA across 2 seasons, averaging 3.1 pts and 2.4 rebounds, before being banned for cocaine abuse.
Other contenders: Jahlil Okafor (2015) Adam Morrison (2006) Dennis Hopson (1987) - Posted on: Tue, 04/14/2020 - 4:53am #1226698
Scrooge McDuckParticipantThe number 3 pick has been pretty good. There was a 60-70% chance it would turn into an all star over the last 40 years, in my opinion. Dominque and McHale were #3 picks in the early 80s.
The worst are Morrison, Okafor, Darius Miles, LaFrentz. But then you have Billy Owens, Mike Dunleavy, who didn’t live up to expectations, but were good.

dmo21ParticipantBest: Gotta go MJ. No reasoning needed.
Worst: I’m going to go with Morrison (don’t know much about Washburn or Hopson). This is more based on the Charlotte drafting philosophy of drafting upper classmen high in the draft. Morrison being mid-major, unathletic scorer isn’t your normal #3 pick. Wasn’t a great draft at all, but there was better wing players drafted not to far behind Morrison that had better potential (Roy, Gay, Foye).
