In response to the SI top 100 nba players article, and the poor reviews it got from posters on this site, I decided we should try to make our own top 100. I’ll try to do it like the guys who did the redrafts and base it off voting each day. Because there are so many, we will go 5 by 5. List them in order 1-5 each day.

So list your top 5, in order, and we can get this ball rolling. My top 5:

    1. Lebron James

    2. Kevin Durant

    3. Stephen Curry

    4. Anthony Davis

    5. James Harden

I think we should do it differently, out of a poll of 100 players to take off 5-3 players everyday, like The weakest link format, will be more fun and intersted…

     1. lebron james: he’s been the best player of the last decade. has played 5 straight finals and every team he plays for is a championship contender, though is true that he has always played in a weak east conference..but still he’s been the most consistent player.

    2. stephen curry: he has taken the nba by storm..he’s breaking all of today’s nba standards proving that you don’t have to be the most athletic/explosive to be the best player on the court..he’s doing things that we had never seen before seeming at times like a video game..last year he was the best player of the league(regular season and playoffs) by far plus he won the ring, so there’s no reason to not be on this list at nº2 at least…

    3. kevin durant: if healthy he might be the most complete offensive player and the most difficult to guard but we still don’t know how he’ll come back..he looks confident and hungry and he’s said in different recent interviews that he’s the best player in the league..we’ll see..

    4. anthony davis: if the mvp award was given to the most efficient player, that would be davis..last year he had a 30.89 PER and this year might be even higher..this year will probably post crazy numbers but, ¿will those numbers translate into victories?

    5. blake griffin: this was the most dificult choice. harden and westbrook are right up there but to me, griffin has taken a giant step in his game and he’s finally realized his potential and he’s putting together all those unique tools he has..the level showed in the last playoffs was simply amazing, playing like the best charles barkley but standing at 6’10..what we saw during the playoffs might be a snack of what is coming this year..

*next: harden, westbrook: both are great players..harden had a great season carring a really average team plagued with injuries to a 56-26 record and to the western conference finals..but him, like westbrook, will never be serious MVP contenders having that FG percentage and that number of turnovers..if not ask kobe bryant…
