Michael Porter 6’10 215 SF – Nathan Hale 2017 (Washington)
The versatile Michael Porter helped Nathan Hale to two impressive victories. He scored 34 points defeating Chief Sealth, also getting help from teammates Jontay Porter and PJ Fuller with 19 and 18 points respectfully. Porter also scored 35 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to beat Rainier Beach.

Trae Young 6’1 175 PG – Norman North 2017
Young was featured as Player of the Week many times last year for putting up ridiculous numbers, this year should be no different. Norman North won both games of the week. Young dropped 44 points along with seven rebounds, six assists, and six steals beating Stillwater. He followed up with 52 points while making nine three-pointers, five rebounds, and four assists to beat Glendale at the Ozark Mountain Shootout.
Hasahn French 6’6 205 SF – Commonwealth Academy 2017 (St. Louis)
Hasahn French has had some big games so far this season. He recently posted 15 points and 21 rebounds in the win over Bradford Christian. He finished up the week with 12 points, 24 rebounds, nine assists, and seven blocks defeating Lawrence. French just passed the 1,000 point milestone and may reach 1,000 rebounds before the season ends.
Zion Williamson 6’6 240 SF/PF – Spartanburg Day 2018
Williamson had a pair of big scoring outings. He scored 38 points to beat Asheville Christian Academy. He also went off with 47 points defeating Anderson Christian, with a number of highlight dunks making its way around the internet.
Jalen Suggs 6’3 170 PG/SG – Minnehaha Academy 2020
In the loss to Minneapolis North, Suggs finished with 32 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the Breakdown Tipoff Classic, coming a week after posting 42 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and eight steals against Orono. The freshman is starting his high school career strong and is a name to become familiar with.
Cold
Westtown School
Westtown lost both games last week at the National High School Hoops Festival. The first loss coming against Hamidou Diallo and Putnam Science Academy 76-47. Diallo scored 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds. The second loss was against Little Rock Christian Academy with a final score of 63-54.
Under the Radar
Deondre Bourne 6’5 175 SG – Leman Prep 2017
Although Leman Prep has yet to win a game, Deondre Bourne has been on a tear. After an impressive statistical week to start the season, Bourne followed up with another exceptional set of performances. Bourne started out the week with scoring 53 of his team’s 67 points and seven rebounds against Mt. St. Michael School. Then scoring 22 points and passing out seven assists against Our Savior New American. He followed up with 21 points against The Masters School. Bourne has good size for a guard at 6’5 and is primed for a breakout senior year.
Top 5 Under Six Foot Prospects
1. Tremont Waters 5’10 175 PG – Notre Dame-West Haven 2017 (Georgetown)
The sharp shooting guard has been on the map since his early high school days. He more than holds his own against bigger guards. Waters had a nice Nike EYBL season averaging 12.7 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.3 steals per game.
2. Chris Lykes 5’7 160 PG – Gonzaga College Prep 2017 (Miami)
Always the smallest player on the floor but that doesn’t mean he’s not productive. His quickness and ball handling allow him to get where he wants on the floor. Lykes doesn’t back down from competition and can finish a play above the rim when given the opportunity. The Miami commit plays bigger than his actual size.
3. Zion Harmon 5’8 150 PG – Bowling Green 2021
Not trying to jump the gun or feed unrealistic hype but Harmon has proved to be mentioned with top high school competition after averaging 17 points and 4.4 assists per game over the Nike EYBL. Harmon currently plays for Bowling Green High School and has had a nice start of the season so far.
4. Markquis Nowell 5’8 160 PG – Bishop Loughlin 2018
Beginning his junior season, Nowell holds many college offers. He played well at the Nike Elite 100 showing his speed with the ball. Nowell helped lead Playaz Club to Peach Jam on the 16U level this summer.
5. Foster Loyer 5’11 160 PG – Clarkston 2018 (Michigan State)
Already committed to Michigan State, Loyer is a point guard who also possesses the ability to score. He’s tough and changes his speed well. Loyer averaged 17.7 points and shot 44.4% from three over the Nike EYBL 16U.
