LAST YEAR I PICKED Danny Granger,David Lee & Devin Harris To have BREAKOUT YEARS..Granger and Harris MADE THE ALL-STAR TEAM..Lee put up a nitely double-double ….THIS YEAR.. Greg Oden ,Derrick Rose, Louis Williams, Brandon Rush,Kevin Love, Chris Douglas Roberts and Brook Lopez will increase their productions from last season…WITH MEMPHIS ADDING Allen Iverson & adding a POST PRESENCE IN Zack Randolph ..I THINK RUDY GAY WILL HAVE LESS PRESSURE ON HIM AND WILL BE FREE TO DO HIS THANG

Henry25Participantmy breakout player is Mike Beasley. Seriously im not worried bout the rehab at all. i think it’l be good for him and he will come out and remind why we fell in love with him that one year at K-State. Mark my words, Beasley will be a 20ppg scorer this coming season

MkadozaParticipantJr Smith, Rudy Gay, Greg Oden, and Javale McGee are all good choices. I think Oden’s gonna get swole on the league this year…and I think this is the year Nene becomes a legit top 5 center in the league. He’s so quick and athletic with all the tools necessary to be dominant.

gdubdsbballParticipantHere’s my pick for players that will dramatically increase their scoring averages (5+ points) which generally defines a breakout in performance:
Monta Ellis
Wilson Chandler
Eric Gordon
Anthony Randolph
Aaron Brooks
Ariza
Scola
JR Smith
Stuckey
Brook LopezNotable Mentions (either b/c their already good or will have an average statistical improvement from the previous year):
Rose
Louis Williams
Courtney Lee
Millsap
Tyrus Thomas
Spencer Hawes
Love
McGee (don’t know his game well enough to know if he should be a major breakout performer)
Marc Gasol
Anthony MorrowAlso check out my blog to read more on scoring breakouts – http://gdubdsbball.blogspot.com/

Maysek22ParticipantC – Andrea Bargnani – look for 20pts, 7boards, 1.5blocks
PF- Charlie Villenueva – if healthy 19pts 7 boards
SF – Anthony Randolf – 17pts, 8 boards, 1.2 blocks
SG – Daequon Cook – 16pts 4boards 2.5ass
PG – TJ Ford – 17pts 9assThe player i’m most excited about is Randolf – his skill set is sick – i see him at his peak being a 26pts, 11 boards 6assist 2 block 2 steal kind of stat stuffer. Not yet, but in maybe 2 years

Maysek22ParticipantI think the only one on my list that is even a little iffy is Cook, but i really like his offensive game. His per36 averages were really good, he’s just effective when he gets time on the floor. Granted maybe 16 is high, he’d have to get starter minutes…ok I retract cooks numbers a little make it 12.5 pts in 28ish mins a game

Henry25Participanti didnt mean to overeact i just dont think cook will get thos minutes to put up 16ppg. I agree tho that around 11ppg is about right. And i just dont think Randolph will evr put up 26ppg, 11rpg, 6assts, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. I mean those are Larry BIrd type of number (minus the steals and blocks). Randolph will eventually be good, but all we’ve seen him do is dominate summer league. I dont even think he will be better then some players in his class like Rose, Westbrook, Mayo, and Beasley

youngmagParticipantRandolph will be up there with them he just turned 21 Nellie was out of his mind not to give Randolph that burn he is a more aggressive and quicker version of Lamar Odom so how wouldn’t he be able to get close to Mayo and them?

youngmagParticipantC-Brook Lopez
PF-Anthony Randolph(Saying it before he even got drafted he is one of the very promising future stars of the nba)
SF-Wilson Chandler(Proved to me last year that he has allstar potential especially in Dantoni’s system)
SG-Courtney Lee(He has no choice he replaced Vince and its only him and Harris that can actually score)
PG-Ramon Session(Minny just handed him a PG job giving him that much money they must plan on starting him and he will get 17 n 8 if not more points)0 -

Dtay2152Participantgreg oden is a beast. last year he couldnt even do squats cause his knees were still healing. hes gotten alot of his quickness and athleticism back working out this summer watch for him to be a force this season.
