dmo21ParticipantHello Everybody! It’s time for the 6th annual, dmo presents, Playoff Pickum Game!!!
For the rules and scoring system, click here: http://staging.nbadraft.net/forum/playoff-pickum-game-2016
So the game is pretty simple. You pick which teams you think are going to win and in how many games for the whole playoff bracket. Basic scoring system is you get 1 point in round 1, 2 points in round 2, 3 points in round 3 and 4 points in round 4. You get double the points if you get the amount of games correct as well.
Picks have to be in before tipoff of first game.
It would be best if everyone just used my format. So, here are my picks:
Round 1:
Milwaukee in 4 games
Toronto in 4 games
Philadelphia in 5 games
Boston in 6 games
Golden State in 4 games
Denver in 6 games
Oklahoma City in 6 games
Houston in 7 gamesRound 2:
Boston in 7 games
Toronto in 7 games
Golden State in 6 games
Oklahoma City in 7 gamesRound 3:
Toronto in 6 games
Golden State in 6 gamesChampionship:
Golden State in 6 gamesSo come on and get your picks in before it’s too late!

ChewyParticipantbut isn’t that how the NBA usually works? Hard to upset in a 7 game series rather than a one and done NCAA format. We very rarely get to see a Mutombo Nuggets or Baron Davis Warriors like upset.

dmo21ParticipantAfter the first round, this is how things stand:
1. Chewy with 13 points (got every first round pick correct, and had the number of games correct for 5 out of the 8. Very well done)
2. Blackhole1734 with 11 points
3. The Goat and r377 with 10 points
5. dmo21, sweaterflex, DC Fraz and 90sNYK with 9 points
9. HobbyOG and OhCanada with 8 points
11. Zouldiers with 7 points (not looking good in the future as you had OKC in the finals..)
3 teams (OhCanada, Zouldiers and 90sNYK) had 2 first round matchups wrong which was the worst. It’s not bad, it’s just everyone did that much better.
Portland is the only team that nobody has winning next round.
OKC was the team that screwed most of the people over. 9 out of the 11 people had OKC winning in the first round. 6 teams had them winning in the second round. And poor Zouldiers had them in the finals.
Stay tuned!

dmo21ParticipantNow that the two game 7’s are over, here’s our latest standings:
1. sweaterflex with 19 points (1 of 3 posters to get 3/4 right but nailed the games on 2 of them to take the lead!)
2. The Goat with 18 points
3. dmo21 and Chewy with 17 points (Chewy had all series correct until these last two game 7’s)
5. HobbyOG with 16 points
6. Blackhole1374 and 90sNYK with 15 points
8. Zouldiers with 13 points
9. OhCanada and r377 with 12 points
11. DC Fraz with 11 points (1 of 2 posters to only get 1 second round series correct)Portland, once again, broke up a bunch of brackets.
Still very close as 8 out of the 11 posters still have both their finals teams in.
DC Fraz is looking the worst as he had Houston going all the way.

dmo21ParticipantSome big movements in the standings with the Raptors over the Bucks tonight (only 4 people had them over the Bucks). Still going to be down to the wire as the majority people had the Warriors winning it all (two people have the Raptors winning it). Remember, in the finals you get 4 points for picking the winner and 8 points if you get the games right too. So here are the current standings with their finals pick in brackets.
1. dmo21 with 26 points (Warriors in 6)
2. 90sNYK with 24 points (Warriors in 7) with a chance at 1st
3. sweaterflex with 22 points (Warriors in 6)
4. The Goat with 21 points (Warriors in 6)
5. Chewy with 20 points (Warriors in 5)
6. Zouldiers with 19 points (Raptors in 6) with a chance at 1st
7. HobbyOG with 19 points (Warriors in 5)
8. OhCanada with 18 points (Raptors in 7) with a chance to tie for 1st
9. Blackhole1374 with 18 points (Warriors in 6)
10. r377 with 15 points (Warriors in 6)
11. DC Fraz with 11 points (Rockets in 7…. don’t think that’s going to happen)Four different people still have a chance at first place. Stay tuned and go me!!
