That was a really, really good game to use to advertise the NBA in India. A 132-131 OT game, with a game tying 3 at the end of regulation by TJ Warren.
Couple quick takeaways from the game for me (yes I know it’s preseason):
– TJ Warren can really score the ball & his shooting stroke is really nice. If he remains healthy I see no reason he can carry the offensive load while Vic is recovering.
– Malcolm Brogdon has really good court vision, I mean really good court vision. I can actually see him floating around the top 10 for apg.
– Bogdan Bogdanovic is such a good player, if he remains on the bench he could seriously challenge Lou Williams for 6th man of the year.
– Sabonis & Turner has really nice offensive potential, they also killed the Kings on the boards. 11 offensive boards between the 2 of them & that will have to keep up for Indiana to keep winning games.
– Speaking of rebounds the Kings are severely lacking in this area & Steven Adams would be a really good cure to what ails them when it comes to this. Bagley is nice, but I’m far from sold on him.
A little disappointed no Bitadze (ankle) or Leaf, but Turner & Sabonis are due to rest for game 2 so hopefully they get plenty of burn tonight.
Nobody gave the Bhullar’s a 10 day?
They gave up on Cauley stein and Skal, not that they’ll pan out for Dwayne dedmon? Randolph when he was benched was a prolific iso big man.
