Do you think the Lakers will ever recover from their current state and be contenders again in the near future? By near future I mean 8-10 years. So will they be contenders again anytime before 2023?
Most would assume yes just cause its the Lakers, but im not so sure. Jim Buss has shown the world what a moron he really is, and how he is NOT his dad. The Lakers for some reason love Dantoni and refuse to part ways with him. All their recent championships 00- present are in some ways have correlations with Jerry West. He brought Shaq, Phil Jackson, and Kobe to LA, the 3 men most responsible for the Lakers 2000s success. Now I have my doubts the current Lakers management can build a title team from scratch. I don’t care if they are a big market, that hasn’t helped the Knicks become elite since the post Ewing era, and it won’t help the Lakers either.
