    Lebron, Durant, curry, harden, Westbrook, AD, CP3, Blake, klay, kawhi, Paul George, kyrie, Giannis, Howard, Lillard

    guys like Kobe, Wade, and Duncan weren’t elite players for long enough during this time period imo. 

    Close calls: butler, LaMarcus Aldridge, draymond, love, rose, Bosh, horford, John wall, derozan, Lowry, cousins, gasol brothers

       Wade and Kobe both made my list because in 2010’s here are their resumes.

      Wade- 2 titles, 8- All Star, 1- 1st All NBA, 1- 2nd All NBA, 2 -3rd All NBA, 1- 2nd Defense 

      Kobe- 1 title, 7 All Star, 4- 1st All NBA, 2- 1st Defense, 1 2nd Defense

      Guys on your list that I didn’t have on mine 2010 resume.  I think only guy that has a case over Wade or Kobe is Paul George.

      Klay- 3 titles, 5 All Stars, 2- 3rd All NBA, 1 -2nd Defense

      Paul George 6 All Stars, 1- 1st All NBA, 4- 3rd All NBA, 2- 1st Defense, 2- 2nd Defense, 1 MIP 

      Kyrie- 1 title, 6 All Star, 1- 2nd All NBA, 1- 3rd All NBA, ROY

       Now that I think about it dirk absolutely deserves to be on this list. Champion and finals mvp in 2011, and was still playing at an all-star caliber level throughout about 2016. I’ll take Howard off. 

      And even though he misses my cut, Carmelo probably at least deserves serious consideration as well.

         Duncan absolutely should also be in the list, best player on a championship team in 2014, and should also been in 2013 if not for stupid Pop not fouling up by 3…

    I based mine on their averages from 2010-2011 season to this current season. So some guys drop as they were at the beginning or at the end of their careers. I left out guys who didn’t put in a lot of time in this decade either. My quick rankings are:

    1. James with 27-8-8

    2. Durant with 28-7-5

    3. Westbrook with 25-8-9

    4. Harden with 26-6-7

    5. Davis with 24-11-2

    6. Curry with 24-5-7

    7. Griffin with 22-9-5

    8. Love with 20-12-3

     

    9. Cousins with 21-11-3

    10. Bryant with 24-5-5

    11. Paul with 18-4-10

    12. Anthony with 23-7-3

    13. Lillard with 24-4-6

    14. Howard with 17-13-2

    15. Wall with 19-4-9

    Players just missing out: Aldridge, Irving, Giannis, George, DeRozan and Wade

       I agree with Lillard over Kyrie, but its close.  I would take Lillards more 1st and 2nd All NBA teams over Kyrie’s title and more All Star games.

      Lillard:  4- All Star, 1- 1st All NBA, 2- 2nd All NBA, 1- 3rd All NBA, ROY
      Kyrie:  1 title, 6 All Star, 1- 2nd All NBA, 1- 3rd All NBA, ROY

      Was close between those three players. 

      I didn’t look at wins as this was an era of super teams. Irving won 68% of his games when LeBron was on his team. He won 46% being the #1 option (35% in Cleveland and 61% in Boston). Lillard has won 56% of his games since coming into the league. Wall is around that 46% as being the #1 option with a badly run organization.

     It would be cool if we could only pick players who played EVERY season in the decade, but I digress.

    In order:

    1. LeBron James

    2. Kevin Durant

    3. Steph Curry

    15. Zach Randolph

    Pretty sure I left off some really, really, really good players but why not go with a couple of Grit/Grind guys at the end of this…. with both being one of the top sustained basketball "brands" this decade, although Conley didn’t even make an All Star game with the Grizzlies and with Z Bo tailing off a lot the past few years (especially last season).  Still, Z Bo and Conley helped define an era — at least in terms of one fairly solid small market "extended" playoff run.  I think the original list had Conley anyway….  yeah, he has had a really, really good run.  He played inspired/sublime basketball for the entire decade.

     In the ’10s he was leading the L.A. Lakere to some of their worse records of all time, at this point in his career, he was just trying to inflate his personal stats.

      He led the lakers to a championship in 2010 and was still one of the best players in the game from 2010-2013. Once he tore his Achilles though, he rarely played for the rest of his career and put up some of the worst effiency numbers in the history of the game when he did.

      But than again, I guess if your gonna put someone like Giannis on the list, who didnt really didn’t reach an elite level until about 2016, I could see the argument for putting Kobe on too. You could definitely make the argument that Kobe accomplished more in the years from 2010-19 than Giannis did.
