    Read that Dragic might be in play for the Lakers if they miss out on Kawhi. That seems to be a solid Plan B. Dragic would be the perfect third option on a team with two superstars. He can create his own shot, distribute, and spot up when Lebron or AD collapse the defense. He would know his role. He also only has 1 year left at $19.2 million, meaning the Lakers would still have around $9 million to grab other players not on the vet minimum. If the experiment works out, they can resign him or they can let him walk next offseason if it doesn’t. Dragic would soften the blow a little of missing out on Kawhi.

      How many free agents have they gone after ? Just kawhi so we have zero idea how they would be doing if they were trying to sign other solid free agents that weren’t min level. If you gonna hate at least make sense

    Dragic, KCP and Boogie would be a decent recovery. 

    Then Zoran Dragic and Larry Sanders too, Chinese Starbury, Melo, Ray Allen, Bosh, Tyreke, Birdman, Beasley, bring back Yao  Ming, 38yo J-Rich,  dig up Wilts corpse, the list goes on

       they’ll basically absorb him for nothing for the Butler trade to work and create space for Miami.

         Pretty sure Portland trading for Whiteside means Miami no longer has to move Dragic to afford Butler.

          That’s what I figured too, but I remember reading on Hoops Rumors that this is not the case and they still need to shed salary before taking on Butler. Sounds like it’d be either Dragic or Olynyk as they are the ones getting the most interest from other teams. I feel like they should try to keep Dragic as they don’t have another point guard on their roster right now.

     To me, I’d rather them throw money at Danny Green, Iggy (assuming buyout) and Marcus Morris if they miss on Kawhi.

      I have not heard or read anything saying that Dragic wants to leave Miami. The only reason he is in trade talks is that they need to shed salary to take on Butler. If he did want out of Miami that bad, he wouldn’t have opted into his player option for this year.

         Miami Herald July 1 – 

        The Heat has conveyed to Dragic’s representation that it will attempt to trade Dragic and has offered to work with Dragic’s reps to achieve that.

          Well I looked up that source and the actual quote is:

          “Meanwhile, the Heat conveyed to the Dragic camp late Sunday night that it was trying to trade Dragic in order to fulfill financial obligations needed to complete a sign-and-trade with Butler, a league source with direct knowledge said Monday.”

          Looks like it is just a money thing. Hoopshype also said that “Dragic pleased he has not been moved.”

          I’m not saying Dragic doesn’t want out. I just don’t believe it and see no proof.

     Yes he does, he opted in just to get paid. When the Dallas trade fell through Miami promised to try move him still. I read it on several sites including mainstream ones like hoopshype and bleacher I’m sure. I’ll find a link for you.
