    With Harrison Barnes opting to become a free agent, Sacramento has openned up a lot of cap space while still 3 a young starting core of De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley.

    If they renounce WCS then they would only have 44.6mil on the books for next year. What is there chances at getting 1 or 2 star players to join this young talented group?

    I know that Sacramento isn’t a destination city, but this is a good young core that this FO has been able to build. Marvin Bagley and Bogdan Bogdanovic are currently the two highest paid players for 19-20 season at 8.57mil and 8.53mil respectively.

    I have a feeling that Horford could be one going there. He would be a good fit in their fast paced system that they are running.

     I doubt it’d happen but Boogie back there would be a great fit. They have a good core, I hope they get someone. Perhaps they  could be takers for Capela and Tucker? Better yet, imagine Kawhi signed there.. everyone would lose their minds.

      I’ll have to disagree with Boogie being a good fit. You mentioned the fast pace the Kings play… Well, the guy was already a “slow it down” style of player to begin with, and after this injury, even more so. He looked like a shell of himself during the finals. That Achilles injury is no joke.

    I could see Durant or Tobias a younger star going there. Why would an aging vet like Horford choose Sacramento? I think He’s going to resign long term in Boston. Do you have any other ideas? It is a dark horse. With that much cap space. I would hope they resign WCS tho.

    I didn’t mention the Kings’ fast pace, but getting Boogie is good because no one is running to a title. It’s never been done. Every championship team has been able to play half court basketball and was forced to reduce the pace. Boogie is a good fit because Bagley has an outside game as a big, Fox can penetrate at will and Buddy can shoot it. Boogie wasn’t himself yet but it takes time and he showed enough to say he’ll get back. They should get the other Bogdanovic as well just to make life difficult for everyone.

    Horford would fit too but not due to the pace. If you’ve watched him, he’s had to rely on his smarts and jumper a bit more the last two seasons. He’s not going back to Boston. Dallas may be the right spot.

     Horford will definetely sign with the Kings, not resign long term with Boston. Durant will never sign there. I hope the Kings relinquish WCS’s rights.

     The f*ck? Since when has Horford been good in the fast paced system? He’s a clutch post up player. I hope this isn’t a d-bag portlander posting. I’m a blazers fan but the City is full of food stamp bums. That nickname "dame time" should be revoked. This poster isn’t Dame Time.

      Horford would be good because he is mobile and a good passer. I’m not from Portland or even the US, I’m from New Zealand… Brandon Roy was my favourite player and I have followed them ever since.

     Now that Barnes opted out, the Kings have a hole at SF again (unless Bogdan is ready to fully Bogdan). Could throw a max contract at Butler and he would be the alpha on the team, but he doesn’t have a good track record playing with young players. Doesn’t sound like they’re in play for Leonard or Durant. Maybe give Middleton a big offer while Milwaukee is trying to figure their stuff out?

    Boogie to the Kings would be a disaster. Kidding me? For many reasons, basketball related and off the court.

    Hes a terrible leader for a young team with good chemistry. The local media hates him, vice versa. They need a defensive type big not a slow, often injured, locker room cancer.

    I couldn’t disagree more.

    I would be targeting Korkmaz.

    As cheaper options they could look at marcus morris or Rodney Hood.  Hood is bit of a chucker and have 1 good game in every 4.  Hood would come cheap, Morris would be good for experience and toughness. Morris is undervalued in this league.

    According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Kings intend to offer Harrison Barnes a four-year deal worth nearly $90 million when free agency opens Sunday.

     

    It was somewhat surprising that Barnes declined his $25.1M player option, but it appears he was rightly confident he’d be able to lock up a long-term contract this summer. Over $22 million annually seems a bit rich for Barnes, but the Kings were happy with what he brought to the team after trading for him last February. Expect him to again split minutes on the wing with Bogdan Bogdanovic next season.

     

     

     

    – seems a bit rich for me for a guy that will prob average around 14ppg and be a third option
