     Now that Durant turned down his option and with Thompson out at least 3/4 of the year, will GS make the playoffs. 

    I myself don’t see it happening. The West is to loaded to have this happen.

    The Lakers, Denver, Clippers, Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma, Sacramento, and Portland have better chances I think. With San Antonio and Minnesota right behind them.

    Jazz should make the playoffs too with Conley now at point. Huge upgrade over Rubio. Could challenge for the top 3 seeds. Wolves won’t make it and I don’t expect the Warriors to make it either. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

      My bad! I forgot Utah. They have a better chance than Dallas I would think. I wouldn’t count the Wolves out just yet. Thy have someone that acutely knows how to run a team now. And will add better players before the season starts.

      considering if they do miss the playoffs, they’re going to add a lottery pick (much like Tim Duncan going to the Spurs when Robinson was hurt). So they’ll win again in 2020 and it’ll be back to normal if not better.

     We’ll see how good of a coach Kerr really is next season. If KD walk will GS have cap room to go after someone?

     I love Conley as a player and he’s better than Rubio but I’ve seen comments and social media saying the Jazz should make the finals now. I think people need to calm down a bit. There’s a lot of Rubio hate out there for some reason. He’s not that bad and Conley’s not so far ahead to put them in finals talk. Hes better, and a great fit on the Jazz, but I still just see regular Utah at this stage – 4-6 seed range. Rubio will sign with Phoenix and have a decent year next to Booker, Bridges, Saric and Ayton.

     Warriors will miss if it’s just Curry, Draymond and scrubs. If they get in, Curry will need to average 35 and get MVP again.

      Lol @ “and scrubs.” I wouldn’t call Iguodala, Looney, Livingston, Cook and McKinnie scrubs. These are experienced playoff vets who will shine with added minutes. And if they can get a form of Cousins that’s even remotely close to who he was in Sacramento/New Orleans, that’s a bonus.

    That’s ludicrous. Keep in mind this team still has a two-time MVP in Steph and a do-everything, all-world defender in Draymond. Not to mention Kerr at the helm and a roster full of guys with Finals experience. They’ll be ok. Will they make it back to the Finals without KD and Klay? Probably not. But you can’t say they’re not a playoff team.

    Id say yes, but a lot has to go right for them to get in. First of all curry must stay healthy the entire season. One lengthy stretch on the disabled list for him will probably lead to a hole that’s too deep to dig out of. Green needs to be in shape and motivated the entire season, and needs to rediscover some of his offensive game that he’s lost in recent years. Can he be 2016 draymond again? They need to find creative ways to upgrade their bench and overall depth without much cap space to do it. Maybe a player on their roster currently makes an unexpected leap or they strike gold with a bargain contract or two in free agency. And it would be extremely helpful of course if Thompson can be back and close to 100% healthy by around the all-star break. All those things happen and I’d say their chances of securing a playoff seed are pretty good. And if their big 3 are all healthy and clicking come playoff time, they are definitely going to be a team nobody wants to face.

     I think the Warriors will have a chance. Dallas, Sac, Minn are not locks by no means. I have the Warriors in the 7-8 range with SA. Will see how it goes after free agency.

     A team led by Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will make the playoffs. If they want to. If they tank, then they tank and thats different. If they compete they will get in.
