As expected, after the top three, safe picks were taken between 4 and 14 but many high upside picks (Doumbouya, Bitadze, Kabengele, Little, KPJ, CLaxton and of course Bol) slipped from the mid first to the mid second round.

I ranked the teams by grade considering their picks, needs but also which players were available when they picked. Waiting for your thoughts.

The worst grade you give is a C-? I would give Phoenix F. Boston D-. Utah B- for purchasing a couple picks for cash.

I think C- is crazy. No one is taking into account 14, 20, and 22 became 14, 24, and 33 plus a 2020 Bucks first rounder, while dumping Baynes five plus million so we can offer a max level deal. It’s a Patriot like draft. Pushed down the picks freeing up extra cash, got future picks.

Nevermind overall I trust Danny Ainge making picks, his track record speaks for itself.

Everyone is saying Boston had a bad draft. I think when we look back on the 2019 draft years from now Boston will end up one of the clear winners.

I wouldn’t give Phoenix an F. They ended up with two really good shooters, Baynes and Saric for really just #6 in a weak draft. I give them an F for releasing TJ Warren for cash. That was stupid. I would’ve thought they could get a late first or heavily protected future first at least. His contract was only 11 mil.

I thought the Grizz should have looked at Windler, too.
