    Finally the NBA awards are tonight (I think it’s ridiculous they announce this late, but it is what it is). It was a good year in the NBA. My picks in bold. 

    MVP – Giannis, George, Harden (Giannis will probably win)

    ROY – Ayton, Doncic, Young

    6th man – Harrell, Sabonis, Williams

    DPOY – Giannis, George, Gobert

    MIP – Fox, Russell, Siakam

    Coach – Buddenholzer, Malone, Rivers (Buddenholzer will probably win)

    Who do yall got?

     MVP – Giannis wins it (Although I think Harden deserves it in a landslide)

    ROY – Not even sure who wins this, not sure Ayton is in the conversation. I’d prob go Doncic

    6th man – Hopefully Lou Will wins it, I think a Clipper will definitely win it

    DPOY – Gobert may win this, although I think PG deserves that perhaps a bit more

    MIP – Probably the most heated category. I like Siakam for this but I’d be okay if any of the other two won it

    Coach of the year – Never sure how to judge this objectively, I’d probably say Malone (Bud will likely win)

    MVP – Giannis (I think it should be Harden. Led HOU to 53 wins in the West despite Paul, Capella & Gordon all missing significant time due to injuries).

    ROY – Doncic

     Harden vs Giannis is an interesting one. I would have gone for Harden if he hadn’t won it before but as he won it last year I think the experts go for the Greek Freak.

    Does anyone else think it is strange that the awards only really cover regular season. The Finals have their own MVP Award so that is distinctive. But shouldn’t the coaching feat by Nick Nurse be recognised as COY for example.

    Executive of the year must surely be Masai Ujiri of Toronto.

     I hate the awards ceremony. It’s insane to know the finals MVP before you know the regular season MVP. I wish they did this before the playoffs started or after the first round.

     This is the corniest award show in the history of award shows. Silver needs to hand out the awards during the playoffs NOT this BS. The excitement is gone, nobody cares anymore.

       I loved at the beggining when Shaq was telling those garbage jokes Luka and Bird had the exact same expression on their face. No nonsense. Not entertaining the shananigans.

     It is stupid to wait this long. Ideally it would be done at the end of the regular season or even the night before the draft for example.

    I agree it is stupid to have the MVP named after the Finals MVP. They even had Bill Russell or was it Greg Oden to present the Bill Russell trophy to Kawhi.
