Here is a link to my just-posted BIG BOARD.  It’s not a MOCK.

    Link:

    https://staging.nbadraft.net/nba_mock_drafts/45828/edit

Since I have TWO players at 46 and don’t feel like going in an updating each draft blurb here is a copy-paste of what I posted somewhere else:

    And. Here. We. Go.

    1. Air Magic aka Ja Morant

    2. Sekou "The King" Doumbouya

    3. Windler, duh.  The top wing shooter in the draft in a Brave New NBA that values shooting and wings.  And guys who got 10 boards a game in college.  Looks like a guy that Nick Nolte buys a tractor for.  A Blue Chipper.  #JustWindlerBaby

    4. The Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse.  The Enforcer.  The Arn Anderson to Lonzo Ball’s Ric Flair — the wonder we have been waiting for … Mister Zion "Big eZ" Williamson.  #DontCallMeCorliss

    5.  FreakNic Claxton: Shades of Mitchell Robinson with a touch of Greek Freak.  Although he could be 2 years away from being Bruno Caboclo.

    6. Bol Bol: The Anti-Christ

    7. If this guy could play basketball he would be 2.  That being said, nice highlights, great hops, and can pass — built well too.  The man, the myth, the legend QTube AKA Jalen Lecque.

    8. RJ Barrett thinks he is Kobe.  He could probably beat Kobe in a game of 1 on 1 this weekend.  Or, not.  Great pick for the Knicks though.  He shares Donald Trump’s birthday.  So much winning.

    9. DeAndre Hunter.  He could be the Tom Sanders of this draft if this is 1961 and it is a 2 player draft a la Oscar Robertson and Jerry West.  Satch Hunter would be a cool nickname.  Or, Kawhi Leonard For Dummies meets Dennis Rodman on anti-depressants.

    10.  Sparky!  Brandon Clarke here.  can defend, jump, and dunk sometimes in the same sequence.

    11.  On a scale of 1-10 this dude is an ELEVEN (at least).  Tacko Fall.

    12. "The Wizard" Darius Garland.  Follow the yellow brick road!!!!!  Or, Baby Zeke.

    13. Count Bazley.  Second Darius although maybe he is Tier 1 Darius….

    14.  Jaylen Nowell.  Some Harden meets Joe Dumars in his game.

    15. Bruno Fernando: raw stats guy at the very least.  Mean streak.  A plug and play big man.  Looks nice and explosive too.

    16. Ty Jerome: shades of John Stockton. Or Dan Dickau.

    17. The Georgia Peach Goga Bitadze

    18. Cam Reddish: some 3, some D.  Just not in the same game.  He WOULD be the 16th player in a 15 player draft.

    19. Coby White.  Consolation combo guard.

    20. Tyler Herro: somewhere between OJ Mayo and World B. Free but probably closer to Damon Bailey.  The recruiting battle between Bobby Knight and Joe B. Hall that we have been waiting for.

    21.  PJ Washington: Somewhere between David Vaughn and Maurice Lucas on the complementary big man spectrum.  He could out perform his draft position.

    22. Jaxson Hayes is a player with bounce and good hands.  Not a build/physique I like though.  Shades of Bill Walton?

    23. Nassir Little: If Zion Williamson is contract year Vincent Askew on steriods then this guy is a poor man’s version of that.  Or, Zion is CBA Vincent Askew and Nassir Little is SuperSonic Vinny.  aka SuperSonic Vinny Little.  With that nickname he should probably go 10 spots higher.

    24. Sagaba Konate.  He can dunk, is explosive, can rebound, great shot blocker if undersized and not long, and is starting to hit the 3 ball.  Rec League Zion Williamson is the pick here.

    25. Nickeil Alexander-Walker.  Brian Shaw meets Shaun "The Wheels (literally) Fell Off 10 Years Ago" Livingston.

    26. DaQuan Jeffries: Snowflake Barkley.

    27. Talen Horton-Tucker: See Jeffries, DaQuan.

    28. Grant Williams.  If he can channel Adrian Dantley he STILL won’t win anything….

    29. Jarrett Culver.  I am not sure what this guy does.  That means he has GREAT trade value.

    30. Rui Hachimura: The NBA is about to make the power forward position extinct.  So that either means he is a dinosaur — or Godzilla.  At the end of the first round, great value for Godzilla.

    2nd round

    31. Kyle Guy: Steve Kerr might be his ceiling.

    32. Admiral Schofield: Whoever drafts him will be bowl eligible.

    33. Mfiondu Kabangele.  I had Jaren Jackson Jr. here last year so that could be a good omen for the Luka [Edit: I originally had Luka Samanic here] we have been waiting (a year) for.  Great landing spot for the Big MF’er.

    34. Matisse Thybulle: he defends in a league without defense.  In a 3 point shooting league he can’t hit the 3.  At least he is LONG.  Solid skill/tools package.

    35. Aubrey "Doc" Dawkins

    36. Kris "Silk" Wilkes.  Not related to Keith/Jamaal but can still score.

    37. Moses Brown: the best old school big man on the board.  Great backup potential.

    38. Chairman Woo Kenny Wooten.  He runs and jumps and dunks and blocks shots.  Hopefully he fills out.  If not, he is a Bo Outlaw type.

    39. The Gaff Factory Daniel Gafford.  Emergency rim runner/rim protector.

    40. D’Marcus Simonds: The Stepien likes him (kinda).

    41.  Man, I forgot about Luka Samanic.  Luka Samanic everybody!

    42. This guy has tools.  He’s toolsy.  He has skills.  He’s skillsy.  Can’t shoot.  At pick number 41, Ethan "Miss" Happ ladies and gentlemen!

    43. Kevin Porter, Jr.: Richard Dumas meets Harold Miner.  Although I used to like both of those guys.

    44. Deividas Sirvydis.  He is getting traded for "cash considerations and a 2nd round pick in the mythical DOUBLE DRAFT" in 2 years.  Can shoot. I think.  He’s also, like, 6’9.  Peja 2.0 is the pick here.

    45. Isaiah Roby: looking for the 2 Way Contract Kawhi Leonard of the future.

    46. Jalen McDaniels: See also: Roby, Isaiah.

    46. KZ "2 way contract Kawhi Leonard" Okpala.

    47. Louis King: there is a theme here boys and girls although he is more like YMCA Reggie Miller.

    48. Jontay Porter: he’s big. he’s hurt. Not being able to play due to injury is the new "draft and stash".

    49. Charles Matthews: can defend, but he is hurt. For a team that has too many picks then this guy might be like having an early 2nd round pick in 2020.  Has 2nd team all defense written all over him.  But, I don’t remember watching him play.  TA 2.0?

    50. Keldon Johnson.  I don’t get it with this guy.  I think he has already been traded 3 times.  He might be the next Chucky Brown.

    51. Romeo, Romeo, Romeo, where do you THINK Romeo Langford should be drafted??????

    52. Eric Paschall: utility forward who can hit the 3 ball.  He will stick around for like 15 years and win 5 straight titles with 5 different teams.

    53.  Cameron Johnson: Shooters shoot.  Cam can shoot.

    54. Chuma Okeke.  He’s hurt.  Toolsy utility guy with, uh, tools. He can spend his red-shirt year polishing his tools.

    55. Carsen Edwards. Never met a shot he didn’t like.

    56. Jeremiah Martin: See above.

    57. I want to go with back-to-back Memphis Tigers players and since Raynere Thornton aka 10 Day Contract Eric Paschall isn’t even in the NBADRAFT.NET mock draft pool I am gonna go with Kyvon Davenport.  Davenport is a solid forward/wing size with an enigmatic package including defense, dunks, some shooting, really good rebounding.  His love of cartoons puts him over the top at 59 to complete the Memphis Tigers 3peat.

    58. Not gonna do a Dedric Lawson pick here.  Memphis transfer can’t get the Memphis Tigers 4peat.  He’s not in Kansas anymore either.  So… Trayvon Reed from Texas Southern.  7’2 and can dunk.  I watched about 3 minutes of highlights.  G League Artis Gilmore is the pick here.

    59. Shaq Buchanan: Ja Morant’s Murray State teammate was one of a select few with a solid number of 3 point attempts AND dunk attempts in college.  Deep sleeper pick here.

    60. Christ Koumadje.  He’s 7’4.  He’s kind of a big deal.

    Thanks.

Love the nicknames but how does Zion Williamson slip to 4. If he’s who we’ve all been waiting for than why is he at 4 instead of 1? I understand you want to be different but your rankings don’t make any sense. At this point you should have both an internal big board and mock draft. Your mock draft should be a compilation of team needs and your big board. They are two different things but are used simultaneously in the draft process.

Zion looks like the best utility player of all time.

Ja looks like the best #2 pick since KD.  I liked Durant over Oden that year. I like Ja at 1 this year.

Sekou has LeBron-ESque upside.  Windler has Rick Barry/Larry Bird upside.  And it’s a shooters’ league.

Not sure what Zion’s "skill set" is.  That being said, he could still wind up in the HOF like uber-garbage man Dennis Rodman.
