I don’t know if he’s staying or not. Have you heard him say anything? I haven’t.

I get it. ESPN said hes entertaining other teams. But without listing all the reasons why he would stay why would he leave is there any reason for him to leave at all?

For hsi brand being in Canada is awful. Not sure Kawii cares about that but a lot of athletes do. And No hollywood or beaches.

There’s plenty of reasons to leave. Firstly, he’s American and not Canadian. He might be in a better financial position based on tax, jock tax, exchange rates or whatever. He may make more on a longer contract in Canada but that means he’s have to be there longer too. Gasol, Ibaka, Lowry are all going to move on. This squad has reached its peak – all downhill from here. He can’t get more love than right now, and if he goes, it’s on good terms. Finally, gawd damn living thru those winters when he can be in Cali. I’ve lived in Toronto before, during the reign of Hoffa the lottery bust, during the season Kobe dropped 81. If I’m Kawhi, I’m all smiles on a beach back home.

Not sure why anyone would want to go to Lakers. God awful ownership mess of a front office. Lebron is in decline. Thanfully you  have Hollywood and beaches cause your NBA Team is a mess.

After Kawhi Leonard asked to be traded from San Antonio, I started to completely doubt reasonable logic when it comes to Kawhi. Logic would say Kawhi would stay with the team that just won it all, but what does Kawhi want. Does he want to win most of all? I used to think so, but that goes back to him being dealt from a perennial contender in San Antonio. We know money’s not the most important thing to him or he would have signed the supermax and requested to be dealt later on. Kawhi’s his own man and until we see him sign on the dotted line, we won’t know what he wants.

You guys are nuts. 2 million people came out to the Raptors parade. You know how much Raptors apparel was sold. How many Kawhi Leonard jerseys have been sold over the last 2 months. You guys understand Toronto has been working on his brand right? All the catch phrases, the laugh, board man gets paid, his lawsuit with Nike. They havent just helped him physicaly, or helped him by winning it all, weve helped him open up and market himself something Pop would never let him do.

Leonard is literally the most important person in Canada right now and his prestige throughout this country is comparable to Wayne Gretzky.

You are still Canada though. You are not a prime time city like California, New York, or even destination city like Miami. Canada will always have trouble retaining USA players. Its just how it is. Also what idiots bring guns to a championship parades 4 people shot?

Yeah…there was a shooting the championship game too unfortunately. Toronto’s a really nice city but theres just a few bad apples in the tree.

Kawhi enjoyed his time there. But unfortunately there is nowhere but down from here especially if they don’t re-tool correctly..

As most of this team is aging or F.A’s soon.

If I was Kawhi I would look for a team that has potential to contend now and young enough talent to suit my time line.

Could the Clippers suit this timeline Yes: Lou is a good 6th man,Motrez is a nice energy player,Shai looks very solid for a rookie but outside of that is a little meh..+ They way they handled Blake was average at best…Guy signs a supermax then is traded straight away..But if Kawhi wants L.A and doesn’t want to be blamed for Lebrons drama this is a logical choice. The big question is what else do they put around him there?

Raptors:They still at least get a meeting due to: Handled his injury issues properly, Can offer him the most $,Allowed him to do something he could never do on a U.S team,Have solid vets around him right now. The only thing that could work against them is the way they handled Derozen..But if Masai keeps re-tooling and giving him what he wants then I see it being very hard for him to leave..

Nets: Best young core in location originally on his list(apparently likes NYK) Young C,Solid SG in levert, reasonable depth and enough $ for 2nd star if he has someone in mind. Plus some familarity due to Marks being a spurs guy..
