Harden – CP3 divorce

Remember that time people said two ball-dominant guards like CP3 and Harden couldn’t coexist in the same backcourt and it turned out to be true? 

 They just needed to make a few more plays. Call it whatever you want but theyve had chance after chance to close out a series against GSW but never got it dont because they didnt stay focused when it was winning time. Harden on the block is very interesting. If that ends up happening it really opens up a ton of possibilities this summer. That Paul contract is basically unmovable, maybe a team deadset on losing for the next few years takes it for future assets.

Sam Cassell. Everywhere Sam was traded/signed his teammates loved him and stepped up big during his 1st season with the team. Then year 2 begins and by the end of it, no one can stand to listen to his ass and team chemistry goes in the crapper. So far, the only teammate who hasn’t gotten sick of Chris Paul in the league was David West, and that man was EQUALLY nuts as Paul. Sorry Chris, if you’ve never even been to an NBA Finals, you don’t get to act like you’re the best or smartest guy out there; cuz quite frankly, James Harden has achieved as much if not more team and individual success than you have. Try  NOT being an &$#%#&@! at your next stop!

If its ever going to happen then this is the year the Banana boat crew do it – CP3, Wade , Melo and Lebron all play together with AD. If i had to bet, I’d say CP3 and Melo will end up there. I think if they do, Wade will eventually cave in mid season and return.

Ive always found CP3 overrated. Ive copped a lot of flak for that comment but i stand by it. His teams have done nothing.. ever. He has a poor attitude and high opinion of himself. Egomaniac. Its always been the case. I distinctly remember watching a video of him after he finished college and before he was drafted where he had already bought a car and had car seats in there with “CP3” emblazoned on them, sitting there telling everyone how good he was. I wanted to punch him in the face.

Houston deserve every ounce of bad karma there is for signing this twat to this contract when he was worth about 100mil less than what he got. Unless Houston want contracts just as bad back in return – Zeller and Batum for example, or Wiggins, or something similar, then he’s stuck. But there also has to be another team out there that would take him. I don’t think CP3 has it in him to take less money for a buy out ordinarily, but selling him on signing with the Lakers afterwards may do it for him. You’d still have to ask him to forego A LOT of money.

 Can’t say this doesn’t surprise me from either party. Harden has one of the biggest egos in the league and Paul has been a cry baby since lob city. If I were close to the situation I would be more on Paul than Harden’s side…it would be very difficult to be Harden’s teammate…

Daryl Morey went on the Dan Patrick radio show today and said Harden and CP are not available and will be the starting backcourt this upcoming year.

There’s a reason neither player has won anything. I mean, you can say there have been obstacles and injuries and whatever else, but truth is, there are some guys who have gotten it done, and some guys who haven’t.

Paul has been in the league for a while now and you can quite clearly put him in the “can’t get it done” category. And Harden is a guy some clowns will day is the best offensive player, yet no clear thinking person would say he’s one of the best Players of all time.

The problem with both those guys isn’t what they are doing when they have the ball, it’s what they are doing when they don’t have it … put them on the court together and it only increases the amount of time they are on the court without the ball in their hands, thus limiting their effectiveness.

It’s only a matter of time and to be honest, I’m shocked it took as long as it did for it to blow up. 

Both Hayward and CP3 aren’t worth their salaries. So why not swap the two of them for each other and get fresh starts? The Celtics are going to need a point guard once Kyrie bails. CP3 provides a better passing, lower turnover option than what Kyrie was. Not to mention the trade clears up the logjam at the wing positon, giving Tatum and Brown free reign at 2 and 3.

Hayward relieves Houston from the CP3/Harden debacle and reduces their high salary commitment by one year (Hayward 2 years left, CP3 3 years left). They also get back another shot creator when Harden is sitting.
