Celtics3178Participantthe pelicans save around 10 million off this trade with the lakers. With Randall not taking his option good move by him they have enough for a max player. They need a big man and Vucevic is a free agent. they can offer him a max. lonzo Holiday Ingram Zion Vucevic is a solid starting line up. Hart the 4 pick can be your core bench.
i’m not saying it’s a championship squad but Vucevic, ball, ingram, hart, the 4 and all those future picks would make the winners in my mind. unless they get a star with that money it’s all for nothing tho. use the 4 pick for conley and flip ball could work too.

cohenbc1ParticipantA month ago I would have said Vucevic’s not a max guy. But after watching how Toronto was able to win with Gasol on the floor, even against a bunch of modern small-ball offenses, I may have to reconsider.

theEDGEParticipantPelicans still thinking about Beal and pick 2 to get Barrett.
What would it take to get either Beal, 2 or both?

French FlairParticipantStill think that they can trade Holiday and pick #4 against Beal and pick #9… Beal is a better shooter and will provide some spacing for Zion in the paint. With the pick #9, they can draft a forward-center (Jaxson Hayes or perhaps Bruno Fernando who will fit better).
For Washington, Holiday would play PG while the recovery of John Wall and with the pick #4 they can draft Hunter or Culver… then it will be interesting if they still want to keep Jabari Parker (20M$) or use this money to fill the roster with free agents.

The GoatParticipantActually if they keep Ball and Jrue, and if Zion is good defensively and can protect the rim, then Vucevic is a very good fit.
Happy to see any of what they just received go straight back out the door if they can get back Beal and/or #2 but I would not want to give up Jrue.
Jrue Beal Barrett Zion and future draft picks – that’s a core to build around.
#4 and Lonzo for #2?
Memphis gets Culver (or even still gets Morant knowing NY). Ball, Culver, JJJ and JV sounds pretty good.
Ingram, Hart and one of the unprotected firsts for Beal? Even throw in Payton.
