Yup, it’s not going so well so far is it? But honestly I’m not sure all the critisizm is headed in the right directions. It is still early. No, Bargnani is not where he should be, but there are many folks to blame here other than the standard culprits who seem to be getting off scott free.
So here are my open letters as I see them:
A) Dwayne Casey: Don’t know why you are getting a free pass right now. You are not the victim here. Yes you are probably a better coach than we deserve, and your job is pretty safe. But that does not excuse this. It’s your problem. Start coaching your ass off.
B) Kyle Lowry: Love your game Dude, but your backup can run your team’s offence better than you can. Start getting your bigs involved the way Jose does – this is your job.
C) Andrea / Demar / Kyle : You three should all rent an appartment together down on Queen Street and spend every minute together a la The Real World (or The Lofters for you TO people – remember The Lofters. Isn’t that one chick on TSN now?) Andrea does not pinch a deuce without his point guard knowing about it. You are now The Three Amigos – all working together for a greater cause. And Andrea is Dusty.
D) Jose : What’s with that lame jump pass dude? Stop it. You’re better than that.
E) Landry Fields: You should give just a little bit of that money back. Just as a nice gesture.
F) Everyone should just chill out a bit. We all knew this was going to be a rough stretch. No one is getting axed or traded untill the deadline, so let’s just see how these guys turn it around by then. If they don’t, then they’re all yours.
Bargs is the guy that needs to find his big boy pants. If your shot isn’t falling, TRY SOMETHING ELSE. Drive, pass, post up set a fcking pick and roll towards the net instead of the three point line.
I like your take on Lowry, he doesn’t really make his teammates better. This is part of the reason he didn’t get along with McHale.
I’m not trying to defend Bargnani here. This is make or break time for his career. I just think there are a lot of people who should be getting way more flack than they are. I’d say Bargs is the only one actually getting the critisizm he deserves. Everyone else seems to be getting off the hook.
