Will Bol Bol be considered a lock to New Orleans now?

Only if they trade back with Atlanta from their 10th pick do I see that happening, 4th is a reach.

 I wouldnt say hes a lock but I wouldnt say hes a reach either. If Bol pans out hes definantly a Top 5 talent from the draft so if hes their guy roll the dice. There arent 5 other guys with his potential and theres to much uncertainty to say whos the guy at number 4. Its a draft someone will bust but if he doesnt your golden. (Ingram/Zion/Bol)

I think he’s an amazing pick next to Zion. Bol is supposedly shooting lights out in workouts. Zion’s going to take up the middle a bit. Bol working from the outside and driving when needed is perfect. Defensively, Zion is a monster and Bol will swing at the ball pretty often. That’s a good duo.

I don’t care what this website says, Bol will not drop to, even the 8th spot.

Ingram drives and makes things happen and is a potential defensive stalwart (like Ball). I hope the Pelicans keep the pick. That’s, potentially, a very fun young core.  

 Don’t get me wrong he is quite skilled but a top 5 pick I think not the guy is a project:

He is paper thin.

He is coming off a jones fracture depending on how it was handled he could miss time on company $…

He will need to bulk up but judging by his dad-also skinny as hell this maybe no easy task..

average lateral movement-Meaning his defense may not be that great..

He does seem to shoot the ball well and has alright handles but if I was GM I would taking him no higher than the 8th pick…That is only because this draft is weak as hell too.

The thing that would scare me off him a little is that he sort of reminds me a little of Hasheem thabeet with a 3 point shot..

 I see the Pelicans either doing 1 of 3 things with the pick:

Either packaging it to move up or down depending who they are talking with to grab either higher pick-3 possibly or down to gain lower pick but a better player with set pick see Suns,Cavs or atlanta.

Trade it to a team that wants to give up allstar/starter level player-See Wizards Beal for 4th,Hart and a future pick or two..as  a possible sort of ove

The keep it and take on of Hunter,Culver,Reddish or Garland or particular need..

Personally I would package to move down for 8+ 10 pick for the 4th and a future pick,

New Orleans does not need to have its roster set on the day after the draft, and it might not be the worst idea in the world to avoid investing heavily in frontcourt partners to Zion until they see how the NBA game treats him.

 I do like the idea of Zion and Bol as a frontcourt combo, one’s bulk makes up for the other guy’s lack of weight and vice versa with Bol’s insane length. But 4 is a big reach for him. The logic of trading 8 and 10 for 4 via Hawks is there but I don’t see a huge difference between the one player you could take at 4 compared to the two you could take at 8 and 10. Plus with a couple of ball handlers tipped to go at 4 then the Hawks would not really need tyhem with Trae Young in situ.

Likewise I cannot see NOP taking Garland at 4 given they have now got Ball, have Holiday on mega money, Ingram will want touches and Zion’s playmaking is part of his value so adding another ball handler or a guy who needs the ball makes little sense. NOP need a legit C or an elite shooter who the ball carriers can feed when Zion is drawing double teams.

 I like them to get bol but only with trading down, maybe with the wizards for the 9th pick plus future draft consideration, I heard wizards like to move up and get hunter…
