All of you downvoted me when I said the lakers will get to keep Kuzma. This what happens when you let pride and ego run your franchise.

Again, compared to what they were offered at the deadline, this deal pales in comparison for the Pelicans. Lakers are big winners and become instant contenders next year.

I hope things start to go better for the Pelicans and they learn from all of these lessons. If you have a superstar – do everything you can to make moves and surround him with talent. You have to gamble and try things. And if you’re given a ridiculous trade package…take it. Don’t be petty.

U might be loling at the Lakers if next summer AD decides he wants his own team. But With Zion & Ingram at forwards. Ball & Holiday in the backcourt. I have a feeling the Pelicans will trade that 4th pick to the Hawks for 10 & 17.

  Yeah the Pelicans need a C & it would be a reach going for one with the 4th pick, so trading back for the 10th pick makes sense.
  
  Hayes, Bol, Kabengele & Fernando could all be in play there.

  than that 4th pick. The hype is around Culver, Hunter White or Garland but all of them are reaches at 4. I prefer having that 10th and 17th and watching who is slipping rather than having the bad luck to see one of those late lottery picks end up better than my 4th, because that’s what’s going to happen.

  Davis has spent the past 8 months to a year trying to maneuver his way to the Lakers. It is wishful thinking that he will jump after a year.

I think NOP would want better than 10th and 17th for 4th. They might accept 8th and 17th as I don’t think that the Hawks would give up 8th and 10th for 4th given there isn’t seen as that much drop off between 4th and 8th.

The Hawks might do 8th and 10th if the Knicks offered up 3rd pick.

Also with Ingram, Ball and Hart all on the roster plus Zion and whoever they draft 4th would they want another two rookies if they did a trade with say the Hawks.

  NO gets 3rd from NY for Barret. Not sure who they would give. Maybe one of Lakers future 1st.
  
  NY gets 8/17 from ATL since I guess they’re more interested in Reddish anyway. + future Laker 1st
  
  ATL gets 4th from NO for their guy Culver. Still keeps 10 to nab one of the bigs.

Kuzma is not much to brag about I much rather have had him in the deal than Ingram or Ball, Lakers should have tried to kept one of those two. I guess they must know Kawhi or someone is coming to mortgage their two best young pieces.

    Of course they’re gonna have interest in him but is he interested as well? Talk is that LA might only have 22-23 mil in cap space after this trade. Kemba can definitely get more than that elsewhere so it just depends on how much he’s willing to cut to play on a contender

The pelicans did everything possible to surround Davis with talent from day 1. Jrue Holiday, Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans. I’m laughing at the Lakers because if Davis or Lebron get injured, the pelicans will have two top 8 picks next year haha. THis lakers team is the old Brooklyn’s nets

  I thought the big deal they threw at Solomon hill was laughable the second I heard about it and it only got funnier each day after. But other then that I can’t blame too much for not winning around Davis
  
  But also , you say if Lebron or Davis get hurt then the pels will have 2 top 8 picks next year? The Lakers have their own pick next year in ‘20 and the ‘21 pick is top 8 protected. They won’t be hitting any lotto jackpot on the Lakers dime for awhile if at all going forward.

i’m calling it now. this will go down as the worst trade in NBA history. Lebron in 2019 is not lebron 2007, 2010 or even 2015. He has a ton of mileage on him and coming off his first real injury plagued season. Overall, Anthony Davis has missed nearly 10% of all regular season games throughout his career. As he gets older, are we too expect these injuries to suddenly stop? There could be periods during the season where both guys are out. This team has so far has no identity, just two superstars thrown together with role players. To expect them to be contenders this year is laughable. With the high risk of injury and Lebron’s fatigue, this team has a better shot at being a lottery team next year. Guess what? That pick goes to Pelicans. The Pelicans have their pick for the next 3 years. Whos to say AD doesn’t leave next year? If that happens, expect the Lakers to be in the lottery for the next 3 years, losing all their picks to the Pelicans and they will be the laughing stock on the entire world.
