So this is a bit of a bummer now that KD will possibly be out next season but with Kyrie supposedly being out on Boston and the Knicks and the Lakers being two of his top options, along with Anthony Davis preferring specifically those two teams in a trade, who do you guys think would be the more exciting possible team up combo? Kyrie and LeBron versus Anthony Davis and KD or LeBron and AD versus Kyrie and KD?
Personally I’d rather see LeBron and Anthony Davis versus Kyrie and Durant.
I enjoy Durant being able to combo and play off or on ball with another player kind of like how he can with Steph right now. It would be interesting to see him with a big like Anthony Davis that we haven’t consistently seen before but hes not the passer LeBron is.
I’d like to see Lebron with AD because well one, we’ve already had the Lebron Kyrie pairing and two, while we have seen LeBron with a stretch big like Bosh before I’d love to see him also have the ability to run pick and rolls with AD and watch AD get some crazy lobs at the rim from LeBron.
Also as a throw in, one other potential combo I’d love to see is:
Boogie and Kawhi because they could play some old school grind them down half court ball and are both pretty interestingly versitile in their own ways.
I guess overall my NBA off season pipe dream is to see a lot of teams return to two star lineups instead of big 3s and hampton 5s. It would make the teams (because of cap reasons) and the NBA as a whole a little deeper.
