    Not a fan of the Coby White pick. I don’t think hes the BPA there nor is he a good fit with Sexton. Garland would be a better choice if they are simply looking to go BPA but I think in this scenario it would most likely  come down to Culver vs Reddish

    I think you did a solid job although I think Windler ends up in the 1st round.

    It’s entirely possible Culver goes 8 like you have him, so I just don’t understand why the Hawks would trade up for him. Just take the best player available…

     Cool.  So this looks like a conventional-wisdom mock draft at the top with a big-board approach later in the first round.  It also seems like you went for guys in the best tier that "fit".

    Wonder if anyone is going to have a top 3 that is NOT Zion-Ja-RJ.  

    Oh well, maybe I have to do it….

    Reddish/Culver don’t do much for me but they are still (probably) solid options outside the top 5.

    Some "sleeper" types have already moved up — I wonder if anyone moves up super late.

     Yet I’d say 9 and 11 are high,only staging.nbadraft.net has them anywhere near that level. Maybe they are right, but that usually isn’t the case.

    As a Celtics fan not a fan at all of the picks. I just don’t get why anyone has that French PF so high. He’s in the 20’s for me, where that upside starts to trump trump lower floor guys. I wouldn’t draft him at all if I was Boston. I’d take an injured Okeke at 22 over him.

    At 14 if you can choose from Washington, Clarke and Herro I’m happy, if you could get all three I’d jump for joy.

     

    I also think Windler sneaks into the late first. Heck I’d take him over Cameron Johnson if I wanted shooting.

       I agree. I could write an essay on all the things I like about it. So I’ll just point out the things I dont like lol.

      I think Culver is gone by 8. No way the Bulls pass on him. Hes very versatile and NBA teams will like the fact that when developed he should be able to play 3 positions on both ends.

      I think Doumbaya is going alot higher than people have him. 

      Kevin Porter Jr. has top 10 talent in this draft and even if he has failed to impress NBA teams that have questions about his character I think a team will gamble on him before pick #27 in the draft. Problem Im having is where do I put him in.

      Funny thing is the predraft "narrative" on Porter Jr. and Alexander Walker you get complete opposites. KPJ is that extreme talent with character question marks. NAW is that great fundimental high character guy that you wonder if it will translate to the pro game. Should be interesting to see who goes first and who has the better career.

        NAW will go before NPJ, I guarantee it! As for who has the better career between the two is anyone’s guess. My guess is that NAW will have the better career due to him being a high character guy with great fundamentals. I think those things are more important than talent alone and often lead to longer more productive careers than talent alone with character question marks. The league usually fleeces out the players with talent alone but a questionable character. (I would point to Gerald Green as an example of this, that high flying dunker that was drafted by the Celtics who turned out to be very athletic but was fleeced out of the league after about 5 years) At least this is my opinion of those two. 

        While I do agree that KPJ has more talent than NAW I think his questionable character is questioned by a lot of teams in the mid-late first round thus causing him to fall to early second instead of earlier like you have him.

          Yep I defenitely agree and see your side. Guys like Lance Stephenson or Micheal Beasley will always haunt GM’s but look at Mitchell Robinson. Had character question marks but turns out to be everything you want from a young fella. Just cant tell until you bring’em in. I dont think he falls too far because someone should be willing to take the all or nothing risk.

     Your mock is very good, but I also have Culver and Reddish flipped. Reddish is more of a SF than SG to me, and the Bulls already have a SF that they seem to like in Otto Porter Jr. I think Lavine can switch at both PG and SG quite seamlessly, thus the Bulls have a bigger hole at SG than they do PG or SF. Which means Culver or White is the pick over Reddish or Hunter.

    I have Clarke going lower because PJ Washington is the better shooter of the two so teams will look to pick the undersized PF who can shoot quite well over the undersized PF with extreme hops and outstanding wingspan and reach.

    A few late first round guys I have going early second instead are Cam Johnson, Moses Brown and Naz Reid as well as KPJ.
