too early too celebrate

 I am happy that the Raptors are up 3-1 but this is still the Warriors we’re talking about here. If anyone can come back from 3-1 it’s them.

 Too early to call it but you have to think Toronto will do the work now they have three bites at the cherry. They have come too far to beat themselves so the Warriors  are going to have to earn it. 

It may be too early to celebrate, because the warriors can come back down 3-1, after all this their 5th consecutive trip to the Finals and their 3rd go around at a championship but I think the Raptors are preparing for this therefore will not let it happen. If they do let it happen, I think Kawhi would definitely leave because they let up after having a 3-1 lead. It is possible for the warriors to come back but I think at this point Durant would have to come back. Cavs came back down 3-1 in 2016 I believe but that was when they had Lebron and he was healthy. Warriors don’t really have a superstar like Lebron that is healthy. They are unbeatable with Durant, but without him they are vulnerable because all you have to stop is Steph Curry and the Raptors have seemed to figure how to stop him. It doesn’t sound like KD is that close to coming back, he very well could have played his last game as a Warrior. Knowing that the Warriors are vulnerable without KD, and it doesn’t sound like he is coming back anytime soon, it would be very hard for the Warriors to come back. So the Raptors could celebrate right now, but I wouldn’t count on it. They’ll be looking to put them away Monday.

 The Warriors haven’t looked that good which is undoubtedly why people are celebrating early. That and the fact nearly no one comes back from being down 3-1. I haven’t seen anything that makes me believe the Warriors can come back to win the series and apparently KD is no where near ready to return. It definitely looks like Masai Ujiri is the best gambler out there and a championship is his reward.

 The Cavs came from 3-1 down in 2016 but that was with LBJ. I’d not write GSW off as the likes of Steph could have a couple of hot shooting streaks and win a game or two on his own. But the Raptors seem very together as a team and Kawhi has won a title before so he’ll be crucial in this reapect as well.

Plus with two home games the Raps surely will never have a better chance to win an NBA title. If GSW had two home games you might give them a chance but to win twice in Toronto would be a big ask.

Ironically Nick Nurse the Raptors coach used to coach my former local team in Birmingham, England – the Birmingham Bullets in the mid 1990’s.

 I can see the Raptors putting together a mini-dynasty. Like the Bad Boys.  Kawhi/Siakam is one heck of a combo.  There are also some similarities to the 1991-1993 Bulls.  Namely, defense, length, some depth, wing scoring, and timely 3 point shooting. Innovative coaching too.
